So, you are saying he improved in the second half.

0 scoring drives in the first half.  2 scoring drives in the 2nd half.

#progress

Yay were scheming up how to attack prevent defense

Lets waste time arguing semantics of how poor Hurts is playing. That will be productive and fun…

Penalties are poor execution.

The fact that he apparently didn't see that Smith had fallen would lend some credibility to that.

It looked like he was releasing the ball as Smith fell, the issue was he threw at the break point of the route.  Had Smith not fallen he would have been 3-4 yards away from the ball min.  I'll give him credit though, if Diggs isn't there Smith catches the ball sitting down!

Whatever it takes to get those fantasy stats, bro!

On a positive note, at least Brandon Brooks injury isn't season ending.  We can only hope Herbig and Dickerson hold down the fort until he's "healthy" and whoever of those two is playing better you plug in at LG.

By definition, his injury isn't season ending. But pec strains on O-linemen isn't going to be a plug and play. He won't be able to work out, he'll lose upper body strength, and by the time he's back to 100 the season will be coming close to an end.

Not that the Eagles need a RB seeing as they don't want to run the ball but...

Not a criticism of the throw, but apparently, he asked Smith what happened and seemed surprised to find out he had fallen down.

This has been a lot of fun... but now I'm gonna go yank a tooth out with a pair of pliers, for some additional fun...

True, was just looking for an ounce of silver lining.  Not so easy to do I guess.

If that's what that exchange entailed...that's really no bueno.

I get that...  I am not happy with what I've seen...  don't translate my pointing out that he's not "dysfunctional" as some sort of excuse for the way he's playing...

In my opinion, until the Head Coach decides to help his young QB out, he's going to "struggle" and "press" given his, so far, apparently somewhat "limited" skill set...

Sure sirrianni could have run the ball more and again the cowboys had the ball for 13 minutes to the eagles 2 in the First quarter and it didn't get much better in the 2nd qtr or the 3rd.

I think the biggest problem with the run game is that it has zero diversity, it's two plays, inside and outside zone, that's it.

No counters, Traps, leads ,powers draws counter treys, counter trap,s counter draws nothing.

And it's always from shotgun RPO or single back.

The last 3 teams the eagles have played their offenses occasionally incorporate a FB whether in shotgun or from under center, and the chiefs do the same, the eagles don't have a FB and I don't think they've run any two back formations.

It's just a really basic run scheme and when ones whole offense is based off RPO and the R gets crap down and the QB can't P one gets a bad O

Well, as much as he'd be an upgrade (likely) from Boston Scott as the #3, I don't think he would be happy here as the #3 either.  Even as the #2, I think he'd be unhappy.  No point in making this move, especially in adding another player coming off a big injury.  Hard pass.

Yup.  Hard to know what was said exactly.

I hope they switch Herbig and Dickerson. Seems like it would be a better fit than as it currently stands.

The Eagles basically get a do over next game, of course, their opponent is an entire tier above the Cowboys.

But good skill players, OK OL, porous defense.

It would be great to have a sensible game plan and not get the doors blown off again

Oh for Christ's sake...  you absolutely know that was not what you intended to convey...  please...  and you forgot the qualifier "so"... "so" dysfunctional...  "so" far from normal or proper...  you're too easy a target; once again I'll abstain...

We have "hot garbage' up for a vote...  how about that instead...

Yes, he was so far from normal or proper.  But you thought he was a couple notches above that.  To each his own.  If I'm an easy target, then I suppose our properly functioning QB could hit me.  Maybe I should try out at WR.

So...  have we arrived at the point where we're calling Jalen Hurts "so dysfunctional"?

I mean, I'm as concerned about him as most everyone else, but aren't we reaching the point of hyperbole when we say he's "so dysfunctional"...

Just for those with some sense of logic and reason left, might I suggest substituting "struggling" or "pressing" or any of a few lesser terms than "dysfunctional" for a guy who actually completed 64% of his passes?

I mean, c'mon....

He has flaws to his game that make highlight his deficiencies.  He has shown no ability to overcome those flaws.  Dysfunctional describes his decision making and execution.  They have scored a total of 25 points on offense over the last 2 games.

I'd love to know what the Eagles actual game plans are.  We talked about it after week 1...this team has no identity.  They have no direction.

Maybe we need to buy Madden to see what they have for the Eagles playbook!

If that happens... there will be a sound coming from that place that hasn't been heard in years...  the boos will reign down unmercifully... like 2015 end of Chip era stuff.

This organization is such a mess. Every football year is a cycle. Fans know it's a mess. Then a long offseason has people forgetting after being long removed from the previous season. Then the new season starts and people are reminded how much of a mess the Eagles are.

Not sure much changes as long as Lurie is blind to Howie and Howie is running the show. Unless they get Watson. Having an elite franchise QB can change a lot. But even you'd expect at some point he gets suspended.

Before saying this it pains me and i absolutely despise Dallas, but i would argue they’ve looked better than the chiefs have so far this season. The chiefs are a botched punt handling by the browns punter away from being 0-3. basically Tom brady greatness away from being 3-0 on the season.

I feel disgusting for having to say that. I have to go take a shower now.

yes - the bar is low but so are my expectations.

Then he's not doing well enough, because PPG is the number one indicator of a QB's effectiveness.   Gotta give him props though for the way he set up that first TD for the Eagles.  Next level chess stuff to throw a pick to be tackled at the 1 and set up the strip sack TD for the D!

He needs to look at the film on this.

I think he's used so many cliches they no longer make any sense.  If the deuce was the game, why the hell wouldn't he look at it this week to correct his mistakes?  He better study every inch of that deuce and figure out how it will be much more solid on Sunday.
