Before saying this it pains me and i absolutely despise Dallas, but i would argue they’ve looked better than the chiefs have so far this season. The chiefs are a botched punt handling by the browns punter away from being 0-3. basically Tom brady greatness away from being 3-0 on the season.

I feel disgusting for having to say that. I be to go take a shower now.

They were lucky to beat the Chargers but there's luck involved in every win.  They played well on offense.  The Eagles just should hope Kellen Moore leaves as to be a head coach next season because I don't think they're good enough to win the NFC this season.  I'm not joining you in the shower though

Lets waste time arguing semantics of how poor Hurts is playing. That will be productive and fun exactly what we do best here in the Blog

Good.  And then the empty seats and opposing fans, later in the season.  That’s what will get Lurie’s attention.   Hopefully.

Going to also see opposing fans fill up that stadium. Niners had a large amount of fans at the linc. That’s likely cause fans know this team isn’t going to be very good and rather sell the tickets then watch a bad team

I think the man is semi senile. Not sure anything will get to him.

Then he's not doing well enough, because PPG is the number one indicator of a QB's effectiveness.   Gotta give him props though for the way he set up that first TD for the Eagles.  Next level chess stuff to throw a pick to be tackled at the 1 and set up the strip sack TD for the D!

He knew the best match up he had was Hargrave on Biadasz.

I think he's used so many cliches they no longer make any sense.  If the deuce was the game, why the hell wouldn't he look at it this week to correct his mistakes?  He better study every inch of that deuce and figure out how it will be much more solid on Sunday.

Maybe he needs to switch back to number 2.

This organization is such a mess. Every football year is a cycle. Fans know it's a mess. Then a long offseason has people forgetting after being long removed from the previous season. Then the new season starts and people are reminded how much of a mess the Eagles are.

Not sure much changes as long as Lurie is blind to Howie and Howie is running the show. Unless they get Watson. Having an elite franchise QB can change a lot. But even you'd expect at some point he gets suspended.

Watson is not elite, he went 4-12 with Houston, who looked as good with Taylor starting the season. Watson won't be any better with a team as bad as Houston last year.

You don't blow you cap and draft capital on a QB (who's one step from jail) who'll move you from 5-12 to 7-10.

Yes, but did you talk about other teams fans as well?

He only listens the Howie News Network and Roseman is his only friend on Facebook.

Nick tanked the game by not running it, you have Dickerson in his first NFL start, Dillard in his first start of the season, run blocking is way easier than pass blocking, plus running the ball can help set up the passing game. RPO’s and play actions are useless if you don’t run the ball, just ask Trevon Diggs he tea bagged Hurts all game.   This is all common sense, Nick coached the game last night like he coached the Eagles on San Frans goal line last week.

Also, does Hurts understand what an RPO is?  Yup, those linemen are gonna be downfield when you hold onto the the ball for 3-4 seconds behind the line of scrimmage.

I think this post is where we can appropriately use "dysfunctional".

I never said they were good enough to win the nfc i still think the Rams are the best overall team in the conference and imo likely the nfl.

like you said there’s luck involved in every game but the ravens got CEH on a fumble and mahomes first int of September ever and tucker made a 66 yard field goal hitting the cross bar and bouncing in to be 2-1. Yeah there’s definitely luck involved but they were in those games against the Chargers and Buccaneers whom i think are both going to be playoff teams. The unfortunate truth is Dallas might steamroll the division cause the division sucks. The rest of their schedule is vs. Carolina, at NE, at vikings, vs. Denver, vs. atlanta, at KC, vs. Raiders, at New Orleans and vs. Arizona.

I hate that narrative. The Houston Texans went 4-12. Not Deshaun Watson. His numbers and performance speaks for itself. If anything, the fact that he put those numbers up with an awful roster shows how elite he is. Wins and losses are a team stat, not a QB stat.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles - 19

Whoever we play next weekend - 50

Bonus - Gainwell breaks off a 50+ yd run for a TD

The defense deserves some blame, it's easy to forget Hurts had a drive that got them to 27-14 with lots of time left, even after the pick 6, that's when your defense has to step up. Oh well.

I mean I do agree that he's one step from jail and a toenail from being on the Commissioner's exempt list.  I think Watson is a far better QB than Hurts.  Sure he's played on really bad teams but he would help this team and be a long term solution at the QB position.  I would trade 3 1st rounders for him but for the legal problems which are a significant concern.  I don't think I would trade much for him otherwise.

Stop with this nonsense.  Already proven 100% false.

But, apparently you just ignore people who wreck your nonsense takes because you think you are the smartest guy in the room.

I brought this up another time. Their defense was worse than Dallas in almost every category last year. And  Dallas’ defense was considered historically bad.

The Cowboys were a historically bad defense and yet the Texans were arguably worse. just compare them it’s really close.

Well, later in the season it will be much worse. Seemingly.

Idk not sure giants and Washington fans show up weeks 15 and 16 to watch two bad football teams lol. Week 18 against Dallas could be a Cowboys home game though.

You mean the same defense that was on the field for 20 minutes of the first half ??

The defense forced a punt the possession after the score to make it 27-14, the offense then responded with 3 plays for -1 and  a punt.

Yes.  It’s easy to forget that Hurts led the offense on a drive that produced it’s first TD, halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Call me crazy but I’m guessing your defense might be gassed at some point when time of possession is 20:21 to 9:39 in the first half and the first three possessions of the game by the eagles had a whopping 3:43 of possession time. The last two games the eagles were owned in time of possession. It could’ve been worse then the 35-25 last night if not for garbage time making up some of it.

Well, as much as he'd be an upgrade (likely) from Boston Scott as the #3, I don't think he would be happy here as the #3 either.  Even as the #2, I think he'd be unhappy.  No point in making this move, especially in adding another player coming off a big injury.  Hard pass.

Yup.  Hard to know what was said exactly.

From what I recall seeing on the broadcast:

*Hurts approaches Smith*

Hurts: "What happened?"

Smith: "I fell"

Hurts: "You fell?!?"

*Smith walks away as Hurts jerks his head to the side, rolls his eyes, and throws his hands up*

Blaming Smith for that throw is far worse than the throw itself. If I was Sirianni, Hurts would be riding pine for at least the next two games.

Don’t include the impressive 3 play -1 yard drive after they forced that Dallas punt that took all of 1:24 off the clock
