Even still.  With the skillset of our WR, I can see jets.  Running plays out of the motion.  Bootleg to the motion man.  Or just window dressing.  When the defense can just line up with nothing to cypher it makes us easier to defend.

Agreed.

SF runs motion to change the strength of the formation and confuse the defensive run fits.  It has little to do with coverage.

You mean the same defense that was on the field for 20 minutes of the first half ??

The defense forced a punt the possession after the score to make it 27-14, the offense then responded with 3 plays for -1 and  a punt.

Facts! Pesky damn facts!

Further, we can run off five wins in a row against @NYG, @NYJ, WFT, NYG, @WFT.

We will be 2-9 or 3-8 when we hit that stretch.  All those wins do is lower draft position.

afan's a good guy. he's just related to Howie or something, so will twist himself into knots to avoid admitting Howie sucks.

Damn if only we kept doug and sudfeld so we could tank those games and no one would know we were tanking…..

I disagree.  A good guy would be willing to discuss things when he is wrong.  He thinks he is smarter than us and will not respond to anyone who challenges his narratives with facts to the contrary.

Yup.  On the rare occasion that I'm wrong, at least I'll admit it.

Can't wait for week 12 when the 1-10 Eagles visit the 0-10 Giants for the Tank-gate revenge game.

So do we kick Dillard inside to LG when Mailata comes back?

Um, we have mobile Sudfeld still here and Siri so far looks like Doug's beytoch

I brought this up another time. Their defense was worse than Dallas in almost every category last year. And  Dallas’ defense was considered historically bad.

The Cowboys were a historically bad defense and yet the Texans were arguably worse. just compare them it’s really close.

dallas ppg allowed: 28th (29.6ppg)

texans ppg allowed: 27th (29.0ppg)

Dallas yards per game: 23rd (386.4)

texans yards per game: 30th (416.8)

Dallas rush yards allowed per game: 31st (158.8)

texans rush yards allowed per game: 32nd (160.3)

dallas pass yards allowed per game: 11th (227 yards)

Texans rush yards allowed per game: 24th (256 yards)

Dallas takeaways: 7th in the league (23 total)

houston takeaways: 32nd in the league (9)

Dallas 3rd down defense: 26th (46.9%)

Texans 3rd down defense: 29th (47.5%)

If someone's going to generalize and say "QB X isn't great because the team had a bad record" then I want them to specifically and in detail describe why he greatly contributed to them having that bad record. Not use cliches and generalizations. If someone can't do that, then that narrative should be discarded.

Sure!

Put the guy who struggles with bull rushes up against 300+ pound DTs.

Let him take practice reps on the right side for when Lane eventually goes down.

It’s gonna come down to a battle of wits on who can make it less obvious they are tanking

I still can’t get over Sanders only getting two carries… can you imagine the outrage of it were when Westbrook or Shady was the RB??? He’s not as good as either one of them but damn

@austinfan is a clown.  Posts like he is the be all and end all of knowledge, and will not respond to anyone who challenges him with facts that disagree with his narrative.  Biggest blow hard in the blog.

Better to remain silent (don't post) and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt - there's no doubt where downunder is concerned.

I'm amused by those who told us that the team would suck, they have a bad game, and now they act surprised?

I expect this team to go 2-9 or 3-8 to start the season, and then win 4 or 5 of the last 6.  6-11 to 8-9, but because the schedule was lopsided, we'll hear ridiculous takes.

They went 4-12 last year with Wentz at QB, so it's not surprising they probably won't win more than 6 or 7 games this year.

We'll know by the end of the season whether Hurts can improve, I'm not freaking out over a game or two, or should the Jags cut Lawrence? And what's the point of sitting him for Minshew, who isn't good enough to win with a bad team either. Might as well ride it out, then make changes.

That's what rebuilding is all about, you have a few bad seasons in a row, draft high, obtain some foundation pieces.  Been there, done that.

The important thing is not get fixated on the QB, but build a team, franchise QBs are hard to obtain and require a lot of luck (maybe 3-4 in the league at any time), so assume you have to build a team to win with a good but not great QB.

And @austinfan tried to go the garbage time stats nonsense, and I blew that out of the water showing his highest yardage games where in wins and 1 score games in the 4th quarter.  His stats are not garbage time.

Oh I’ve had that discussion with him before. Deshaun Watson was not the main reason the Texans had only 4 wins.  His numbers were the best numbers of his career and he didn’t have DeAndre Hopkins or really a consistent running game all last year. Add on that organization was a complete dumpster fire last year.

Because you don't blame a rookie WR for a pick six that was entirely your own fault. That's bush league level garbage and has no place anywhere on this team, let alone from its supposed "leader".

Not sure if they are as good at selling the tank tho….

Anytime you get facts to the contrary of your nonsense you disappear.

You tried to put blame on the defense last night, the same defense that scored half of the points you referenced when they cut the lead to 27-14.  The same defense that was on the field for 20 minutes in the first half, and scored the only points because the offense could not sustain any drives.

The defense did respond, and then the offense did nothing.

Multiple people called you out on this.  We await your response.  Maybe for once, you will admit the L in this case, and we may start taking you seriously.

At least survival picks will be easy for the next month, just pick who is playing the Eagles.

Minshew moved the offense in Jacksonville.  We would not have gotten our only points from the defense if he was the QB last night.

And he is another one that you tried to say put up garbage time numbers, and I posted all the highest yardage games were in 1 score games in the 4th quarter.

Another one you failed to respond.

I think not enough is being made about Hurts on the sidelines with Smith after the pick 6. Even if Smith didn't fall Diggs is jumping that route and getting an easy pick but he's blaming Smith and rolling his eyes at him? I've been told for over a year about great leadership, and that aint it.

Anyone have the video of it? I don't remember seeing it but a bunch of people caught it
