Question is what are Jalens strengths and can you create something to cater to his strengths.  It's been stated several times that he is a limited QB.  So how much can you really do with him?

I’ve said this a million times show me an offense that is remotely decent and consistent when your QB can’t make the simple and routine nfl throws. There’s no offense that’s going to thrive just running the ball to hide your QB from throwing the ball. And jalen hurts isn’t lamar jackson. I give lamar credit he should’ve had some huge gains against the lions except brown dropped 3 perfect deep balls that would’ve made that game a blow out.

Good to see that Sirianni is accepting responsibility for his role in the debacle.

Hurts blaming Smith. Howie blaming Sirianni. Siranni blaming Howie. Howie blaming Carson (probably).

We barely made it to week 4 and it's that time already

He's one of the biggest issues there is no doubt. But the coaching is as big of an issue.  And it's beyond the offensive play calling.  The penalties through 3 games is a direct result of coaching and no dicipline.  Also with all this talk of dawg mentality this team has no fight.  We saw in the 49ers fame and we saw immediately in this game that when they get knocked down they stay down.  They don't respond well at all to adversity and it's the whole team and that starts with the coaching staff.

Maybe Sirianni should have focused more on being a coach instead of the players best friend.  Make OTA's mandatory, don't negotiate with the players to cater to what they want.  Guys on here can disagree with me all they want but for a team with a brand new staff and a new starting QB to not think OTA's were important just blows my mind.

I don't know...maybe play your starters in the preseason to knock off lots of the rust that causes some of these penalties.

It's been a crapshow from the beginning.

At least no one is blaming McNabb

But it’s not like Carson is setting the world on fire either. He had a good week 1 an ok week 2 and down week 3.

Im be much more happy if we get the Colts first.

I wouldn't call his week 3 down, guy was playing on two sprained ankles, on Tuesday he couldn't walk, Sunday he was a statue in the pocket and limited and I'm sure loaded up on pain killers, I'm surprised he played but the coaches said they felt 70% of Wentz was better than 100% of Eason or whoever,

In the end they lost so it really didn't matter.

While I'm not a Carson Wentz fan when healthy I think he is a better passer than hurts, I'm on the edge of the cliff with hurts, I was encouraged after week 1 but still skeptically optimistic, after the last two games I'm not far from throwing the towel in on hurts.

Haven't seen anything to think he can be the guy going forward.

If you think Hurts is the only reason this team is bad right now then you're delusional.

He’s top 2

The OTAs was a negotiation that a lot of teams had.  Playing in the pre-season isn't the issue.  Not preparing during the week and knowing how to do his job is the issue.

Ooooh... sick burn, bringing in the obscure UofA/ASU rivalry out into the public.

gotta be honest, only some people in AZ care about that.

I have a lot of Eagles/Hurts regrets, but trading Wentz is not one of them. It was time.

Oh, I know a lot of teams did the no OTA thing....but a lot of teams did have them.  If TB and KC think OTA's are important then I'd like to think our first year head coach and QB with 4 starts learning a brand new offense would think so too.

Yep, it's almost like people aren't paying any attention to what is going in in Indy, which is pretty much groundhog day to what went on here post 2017.

I'm not saying Siri is the answer. I'm saying Pederson wasn't

I thought their reason firing him was stupid. Jeff and Howie wanting to pick all the assistants is a recipe for disaster. We need a strong experienced head coach that knows what the heck he's doing.

Look at what Shanahan did with Nick Mullens.

Counterpoint: Doug wanting to stick with Press Taylor as OC and Matt Burke at DC, after wanting to stick with Mike Groh and Carson Walch, is a recipe for disaster.
