BUt if the Rumours of Luries meddling ways are true, what great GM prospect would come to Philly? What Great HC prospect would come?

I think most owners are highly involved in their teams.  I would imagine Lurie's involvement mirrors most other franchises.  I think the question for any GM would be whether he will have the ability and resources to succeed.

Diggs will go back to being not very good this weekend.  Aren't ALL of his career INT against the Eagles??

Praising Diggs when an accurate throw leads to a Smith completion.

Diggs had a good game because our QB played like crap. Smith could’ve had 100 yards+

You seem to have a point to make, so just make it.

We need health and youth at a lot of positions. People thought our aging injury prone Oline would last but it didn't

Not baiting at all.  I want to compare the stats to the "elite" qb's.  I can come up with a list, but I don't want to do all the research and then have to do it again.  I want to compare to his top 5 QB's.

If he leads Smith he might have gotten him killed by the corner at the sideline.  Diggs closed and made the play, not sure why you are hating on him.  He jumped the route for the pick 6, and bodied up Smith all night and stopped him from running free.

Well actually that was Diggs 3rd interception in a row in 3 games this season. The other 2 were against Brady and Herbert. However yes last year he had all 3 interceptions from the eagles lol.

He did have 14 passes defended last year so he is pretty damn good and Siri should not be having Hurts challenging him all.damn.game.

Perfect play-call by Sirianni on 3rd down. Got exactly what he wanted. OL protects very well. Smith gets wide open.

Incomplete.

Tell him to not have the mic so close to his mouth

I had a feeling there was a lot of missed opportunities

It was a redshirt week. The lack of training camp will not be an excuse for his entire season. I would expect to see big improvements over the next month, and certainly by the final month of the season.

This is valuable time for him.

That was already stated.  It is valuable time for him.   And hopefully the extra playing time will pay off significantly.  But, there shouldn't be an excuse for his play from an organizational standpoint.  They knew when they selected him, that he wouldn't be ready at the beginning.  And that's exactly what we saw.  Some good, and a significant amount of bad.   It did not help that he wasn't allowed to run block much, which would be much easier for him.  I do look forward to his progression, but I still disagree with the decision to draft him where they did.  The fact that he needed any red shirt time is a negative.  The fact that there continues to be lingering concern about his durability is a negative.  It could turn out to be a good pick, but regardless of that, it's bad process.

Wilson is terrible. Has not gotten enough criticism so far, maybe because everyone assumed he'd suck, I don't know. He wasn't completely useless in Minnesota.

He was awful against Dallas, Everytime I looked at him he was 10 yards down field still stuck on a block.

Didn't help that the D line other than hargrave we're getting abused as well

Fletcher Cox has been sub par

PFF has him ranked 48th out of 62 DTs who qualify, he's the eagles highest paid player and he's playing like a scrub.

2 out if the 3 eagles LBs have a  PFF overall rating below 50, singleton is the only one above 50 at 54.

Take PFF grades for what they're worth but the grades match the eye ball test, the LBs have been atrocious and other than hargrave so has the DL.

To top it off the secondary is pretty awful as well

The safeties have been invisible and slay who is making 17 mil this year has made 1 play all years a PD against Atlanta.

Guys like Cox and Slay are being paid to be difference makers and neither have made a difference

Yeah, let us know how that works out for you.

I heard Al Harris lost 20 lbs.  You want him too?

Can he play QB?

If I am comparing Watson to Hurts?

No Brainer

what about Watson vs, any qb prospect coming potentially coming out in 2022 draft?

Thats all I need to know.

If he hits him in stride, there's enough space to turn upfield and get YAC! Even just an ok throw is a completion and Diggs immediately tackles him.

And yet Smith was still running free most of the night

Analysis by results, thats all that is

Hes about as overrated as Micah Parsons is at this point, but its close.  All they had to do was be average and we made them look great

The fact that the Eagles immediately fell behind so far gave the commentators license to slobber all over the Cowboys and it was just as puke worthy then as it is now.  They are nothing special.  Average team.

Trading significant draft capital for Watson should be the cherry on the top of the sundae.  At present, he's a cherry that barely sits above the bottom of the glass.  I know Lurie likes his statement trades to puff his ego up, but surely he can see how bereft of talent and cap space his boy has left the team.  If this team can't stop the OL getting injured or the LBs having a lack of talent in them or constantly handicapping the future cap with band aid players, they'll waste Watson's best years playing catch up.

The Eagles need to accept they are rebuilding and act accordingly.

I agree.  I don't see any way they dump the resources into getting Watson after what we just saw.  They absolutely need Hurts (not likely) or Minshew to be the real deal.

They brought in a Defensive coordinator that runs cover 2 and still don't really bother with the linebackers. That's criminal, linebackers are pretty important in that scheme. Not that they aren't important otherwise just more so in certain schemes and well yeah...

I’m shocked! I’m actually not. This is what i was talking about Monday night. Legitimately he did this sort of thing all night and when he did make the right read he threw behind his receiver. They should break down the 3rd and 5 to goedert where it’s a good play call cause goedert like smith in that video has enough cushion to make the catch and get extra yards after to pick up the first. Instead hurts throws it behind him and to the defender instead of leading goedert. Riddick also pointed out during the game he had a wide open touchdown (i believe it was either goedert or ertz— waiting for the all 22 if it comes on game pass) if hurts makes the the throw.

sirianni deserves to be bashed for not calling enough running plays regardless. That was idiotic not to when hurts was bad. However the passing game would’ve looked a lot better if our QB could make the simple throws, made the right reads and put the ball where it should be.

Minshew is more than capable of putting up major numbers.  Now that Hurts is throwing picks, there is ZERO reason to keep him as starter besides his feelings

Move on and do it now.  It would give us time to determine if Minshew has "it" or can at least be a bridge to the next guy

Rolling out Hurts for another 3-4 weeks is pointless now.  Dont just throw that time away and end up exactly where we are now at this point next year

Do you have a link to where you got these numbers ??

If I use the link below, assuming all extra points where converted, I come up with

2018 ( 18.3 ) 2019 ( 20.1 ) 2020 ( 19.2 )

Jeffy wants QB. Jeffy give up a lot to get his QB. Jeffy wants his franchise Qb. That’s why they want a QB and would consider doing it. I’d bet either trade for a QB or move up in the draft to get a QB that (assuming hurts fails) the eagles have their "franchise” QB this offseason

I'm naive enough to believe that Howie listens to the coaches, and that Nick and Shane Steichen tell him things.  At some point Nick may decide Hurts is not able to be a #1 QB in this offense.

The acid test comes when we see whether Howie listens, or tells Nick/Shane that Hurts is the QB for the entire season and to 'make it work"

Yup Wilson's best attribute was supposed to be his ability in coverage but he's been invisible there.

Singleton was never good in coverage and Edwards is a liability in coverage as well

I had hopes for Davion Taylor but the dude after an encouraging pre season has been hurt.

And like I said on the back end the safeties have had multiple break downs leaving corners out to dry. It's just been ugly and when the only DL creating pressure is hargrave the back 7 look even worse.

It's just a defense full either guys that suck or are young or both

While I agree, the biggest reason would be to let him fail at an epic level, so there is no way to pretend like he provides hope at the end of the year.  When we are about 2 - 7 and he is a major part of the reason, then that will be enough.  It's really embarrassing that the team is riding a kid who can't get it done.  It's really not fair.
