Honestly for miami i think it’s more about long term then just this season. As long as they believe or know he’s not going to prison i wouldn’t be shocked if their owner makes the move anyway

My point, the Dolphins acquiring him will not impact the pick we get from them, as he will not be allowed to play.

Even with upgrading like rodgers, Wilson or watson coming up you are going to have to give up draft capital to get them. Those guys aren’t becoming free agents.

Hoping a brady or Manning becomes available in FA isn’t a great route to take. Manning had a serious neck issue and the Colts found themselves in position to take Andrew luck. Otherwise he wasn’t going to be available. That doesn’t happen all that often. And brady was 43 and the greatest Qb ever and became a FA at the end of his career. People forget when he signed there was a prevailing thought he might not be what he once was based off his 2019 season. Those two scenarios are more outliers to the fact you are going to have to trade for one of those QBs. You Might get a tannehill or Winston but i don’t think either is good enough to win you anything major.

Also you have to have good organization that is capable of building that roster. The eagles since the super bowl have been trending the wrong direction with every passing year.

Rodgers just might very well be a free agent. But why would he come to Philly?

With player movement these days I think you can upgrade at QB a lot easier than you used to be able to do. The trick is having a competitive team and good organization where someone like Rodgers, Brady, P Manning, etc views you as a contender if they join your roster.

That's a pretty good trick.

He still is under contract for 2022. They voided 2023. So if he doesn’t want to be there after 2021 the packers would agree to trade him.

to answer your question, he wouldn’t

Sure, that's one way to look at it. But we have something that Watson's going to want that Miami doesn't have. Cooter.

Cooter?

Oh i agree on that. I think people assume the Dolphins would be making that move for this year. I don’t. If they made that move i see them likely giving up tua in that trade and rolling with brissett for the year

You should change the third stooge to Lurie's ex wife, since she is part owner and more triggered than Jeffrey.  Smolenski doesn't have a say in much, football related.  Just a suggestion.

I was i gonna just change it to lurie with the throw it

We caught Atlanta by surprise.  That's the main reason why I picked us to win that game and pretty handily.  It doesn't take long for defenses to get the book on a remedial offense.  And ours is as remedial as it gets.

Some would say it takes no talent….

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Put Uncle Jeffy's face on this and change it to "The Secret to Emotional Intelligence"  or something.

Load the box, press the receivers, blitz, and force hurts to beat you with a quick throw or by reading the defense. The guy cannot make a hot read throw to save his life.

I addressed this earlier.  There is a physical ceiling to processing speed.  Some brains work faster than others.  And it has nothing to do with intelligence, we are talking microseconds.  But that matters in football, when the play only lasts for 3-4 seconds.  Some QBs are better than others.

I would suggest "recognition" is the issue that Sirianni needs to address with Hurts, especially pre-snap, where processing speed isn't as much of an issue.

You're right and I think that's more of what I meant. There may be a executive functioning limit for Hurts which prevents him from ever being a proficient passing QB.  He is struggling with recognition and making the correct decision.  Decision making goes beyond just recognition it also takes into account down and distance.  I think Sirianni and his staff are likely coaching Hurts to be aggressive and throw downfield.  They should not be giving him that leeway.  They should coach him to take the easiest throw first.  His focus should be short to intermediate completions especially on these designed roll outs and RPOs.  If Hurts is being coached to take the easiest throw first and is passing it up to take shots downfield, they should bench him.
