Have they tried different approaches, or are they still playing scared with preseason games, and likely practices?  Seems the general philosophy about what happens between the lines in ramping up for the season has remained largely the same.  They do almost nothing, then they try to go from 0 to 60 when the season starts.  And then they have soft tissue injuries.  Seems like maybe they should be doing the old fashioned slow increase in intensity that was done for generations.   They dont need to work into "shape", but they absolutely need to work into "football shape".  That can't really be simulated.

I'd hate to invest a top pick in a QB next season, only to see them struggle while we are turning over the OL the next few years.  Further, why take that leap without really knowing if Sirianni is the guy.  Look at what Gase did to Tannehill and Darnold.

 

I think it will be the new model , even Rivera said he will not invest in the QB until rest of team is in place .

but finding that QB , is the hard part .

in today’s league , it makes no sense having a big investment in a QB when the rest of the team stinks , no QB will take a bad team to the super bowl .

That said, if Howie's solution to the QB problem is use those picks to trade up in a **** QB draft class, then there really is no reason to even care about this team for the next 5 years. It would be the death knell for the future of this franchise. Even if they don't get Watson, Wilson, Rodgers with those picks, if they just stand pat and use them they can at least add a plethora of young talent to the roster at other positions. But consolidate them all into one lottery ticket in a bad QB class would be make a great situation with those picks into an utter disaster overnight. It would cripple an organization already floundering beyond repair for the foreseeable future.

The rest were all more commercially succesful/famous, but Jodeci are the kings.  Had a little more nasty to it, without it being obvious.

I can't think of a musical icon who everyone would agree on or at least be OK with.  Most good rock bands are hanging on by a thread, kind of like the group they assembled for this SB.

Bands I listen to are either 90s alternative bands or more modern mellow music like Lord Huron or City and Colour.  No one is going to watch them put you to sleep for the SB.  You'll never get a country act up there unless it's Carry Underwood or even Dan & Shay who are hardly country anymore but have a very wide following.  Hate to say it but Bieber is probably on their list and probably Drake too.

IMO, Michael Jackson was the best halftime show they had and it's not even close.
