No they are not.  They are top heavy, but have zero depth.

I just think their schedule is favorable for them to get to 9 wins this year. Plus the nfc East being crap also helps them. If Dak is healthy they are sweeping the giants. And I’m guessing likely split with Washington. Against us I’d like to say we split but i don’t think it’s out of the realm we get swept especially if week 18 and neither team has anything to play for. I tend to think they go 4-2 in the division.

And the Eagles have a combined 16.8 million in cap space ( after all 53 count against the cap ) with this years remaining and current 2022 cap space.  Not sure how they can afford either let alone both.

The only way would be to identify both as core pieces that have to be re-signed, and purge money elsewhere wherever possible.

And they are gonna get trucked by the GOAT tonight.

I have a feeling the Cowgirls might pull the upset tonight.  I can see a shoot out happening.

Gonna be a very interesting Sunday morning, well, afternoon for you East Coasters.  I still don't think I would have the mental fortitude to wait until 1PM for football.  I am already pretty antsy by 10am on the West Coast.

Eagles @ Falcons and Seahawks @ Colts at the same time.

Seahawks have always been Wentz's boogeyman.  I wonder what folks would say if he puts up 30+ on them?

The only player with significant savings is Fletcher Cox, but that still leaves a hefty dead cap hit.  Can save a ton with post June 1 cuts, but then you are sitting out FA.

Why zero chance?

Was gonna put that in my previous.  Would really get the debate off to a flying start if he finally beats them and plays well.

Maybe the Seahawks get caught looking ahead.  They tend to struggle in East coast 10 AM games, and they have the Titans next, then go to Minnesota and San Francisco.

... which has no downside for me.  By definition, buying the big-ticket guys in FA is an overpayment.

Seahawks have been this whole franchises Boogeyman since Reid.

Feels like since the Reggie white retirement ceremony on mnf. I believe we have a victory against them but it just feels like we never beat them.

Objectively, the offense was healthier when Hurts was playing than when Wentz was -- but that's beside the point.

The overall point is, if Hurts develops and plays like even a mid-tier starting QB this season and further develops into a top-10 caliber QB in the future the process will have worked out -- I would say by accident.  The process and decision making on its own was bad.  Conversely, if Hurts struggles to improve on what he showed last season the entire episode will be seen as a cluster F -- especially if Wentz returns to being a top 10-12 QB in Indy.

The offense was healthier for Hurts?  Jeffery yes.  Not DJax, not Ertz really, he was playing but hurt.  Boobie and Goedert playing but banged up having come back from being hurt. Certainly not the OL.   So Jeffery is healthier.  I looked at snap counts.  Yes, the players totally out are exceeded for Wentz but he played 12 and a half games to Hurts 3 and two halves, so he had those players more than Hurts did.

So the bar for second round choices is mid tier level in first full year of playing (12-22) and developing to a top 10 performer at the player’s position otherwise the second round choice is bad?  But the bar for the #2 choice in a draft in his sixth year at his position is top 10-12?  (BTW, that #2 has not achieved top 10 status so you are content with basically top mid tier for him but not the second round choice.). Struggling to make sense of that reasoning.

Football is finally back, thank god. So, let's make some predictions!

Of the playoff teams last year (GB, KC, TB, Buffalo, Indy, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Tennessee, Baltimore, Saints, Bears, Rams, Seachickens, WFT) which team(s) miss this year?

Who do you got for MVP?

O and D ROY?

Of the non-playoff teams last year, who makes this jump this year?

Imma say Pittsburgh, Indy, Bears, Seahags miss out this year, replaced by Chargers, Patriots, 49ers, Cardinals.

Josh Allen wins MVP.

ROY goes to Trevor Lawrence who posts good numbers but doesn't get wins, and on D it goes to Rousseau who apparently had a great training camp.

Indy, Pittsburgh, Saints, Bears, WFT out

MVP: Allen

OROY: Zach Wilson

DROY: Jamin Davis

CPOY: Dak

Chargers make the jump

Bills win the SB over Rams

lamb

I did fantasy for the first time this year.  I still don't even know half the rules.  One of my friends is a super fantasy nerd and the rest of us who don't care for it and have never done it, agreed to do it for a little cash and just for fun.  Basically just to make fun of each other the whole time.  I drafted Lamb on my team.  That night, I couldn't sleep properly.  The following morning I traded him for Stafford.  I would rather lose than root for any player on the Cowboys.

Well that was certainly.... something. I wouldn't call it a hype video in the slightest.

And Hurts with only 3 seconds in the whole thing. Between this and not on the promotional material he must be fuming. Surprised he didn't demand a trade.

We are pretty similar in our thinking, made my corrections.

Was a hype video, not a swag video.

Pretty sure I got everyone who quoted/mentioned me. If you see something wrong let me know.

Taking more scores if you haven't give one yet. As a reminder you can also make one bonus prediction for this weeks game @ Atl. So far @Veejer has the best odds of hitting.

Average score is Eagles 23 Falcons 22

I've read this 3 times and don't understand how a professional WR can say this.

I was at that miserable game, haven't been to a game in December since lol.

I'll add the Eagles get 200 yards rushing as a team as my bonus prediction.

Playing with CFL balls which are fatter and have the same white stripes the NCAA balls have, and having played with official NFL balls, there is a significant difference at night. The white stripes make it a helluva lot easier to see and catch. But, you're right, for a pro WR, especially one who had such hype, it's absolutely baffling.

As a Canadian who has lived through this, I get it.

However, Chase took a year off. He an extra year to get used to this compared to every other rookie WR!

Yeah it's a crazy statement for him to make, no doubt about it. Like even if it's true, just shut up and say you're a bit rusty but getting better.
