At least last year Singleton would fire into the backfield. He doesn’t seem to pull the trigger this year. Wilson is out there looking to get blocked.

The light fronts don't help them either though... but yeah, they see everything late and don't have the physicality to work their way to the ball carrier.

Siriani is running a goofy smoke and mirrors offense to cover for Hurts.  We don't know if that's the offense he wants or if it would look completely different with completely different results with a passer under center.

Of course it would.  Sirianni took the job while Wentz was still here. It's clearly limited in both scheme and execution.

That said, we never punted the ball.  Admittedly the game got away towards the end, but even for three quarters the offense consistently moved the ball.

Looks like Jimmy G is being benched.

The offense is ahead of where it’s been the past two seasons.  It was dysfunctional under Doug’s scheme.  KC has a bad defense but they’ve also been in the Super Bowl the past 2 seasons (almost 3).  What sunk the Eagles today was mistakes in the red zone again — similar to the SF game.

The defense is another matter.  It’s a long way away from being good at all and desperately needs an overhaul of talent.

It would help if the Eagles defense could create a turnover that isn’t fluke. Or even stop an offense the last 2 weeks. Its crazy how BAD the defense is, no one is talking about that. Gave up 80 pts and almost 900 yards in 2 weeks and everyone is blaming Hurts. The agenda is f'ing stupid

Regardless of how you view it he is on pace to shatter the Eagles passing yard record. Even with just 16 games he would beat Wentz best season by 600 yards.

With playing 3 really good teams this year in the Cowboys, 49ers, and Chiefs and having a rookie coaching staff Im honestly impressed.

Now the defense, they are straight garbage, all our assets need to be used there this offseason. 

You don't understand, if Watson has those stats on a 4-12 team, he's an elite QB, if Hurts hast those stats on a 1-3 team, he's a loser.

Hurts was playing behind a makeshift OL in a game where they had to gamble on offense against a team they knew would put up 30+ points.

I have no idea what people expect from him, "awful fumble" when two defenders run free and hit him when he's just finished dropping back? Yes, one bad throw that should have been intercepted, 3 TDs called back for various reasons.

The problem with this team is a total lack of talent on the back 7 on defense. The offense woes can be fixed with experience, the defense requires a draft or two.

You said close the book on any questions about Hurts’ arm strength.  You still feel that way?

I mean Minshew is the answer right now. He only had 90% of his stats in garbage time. The main posters here for the most part seem smart so it’s crazy to me they can’t see the defense is the big problem. It’s an agenda, they hate Hurts from the day he was drafted, because he was drafted and hurt Wentz. They can’t see he’s actually developing, over 30pts twice in 4 games. There is a learning curve but they expect him to be peyton manning. He is on track to CRUSH the eagles passing yard record but he cant throw the ball apparently.

I was never sold on Hurts, but feel he’s been good enough and that we’re never going to be happy. We got on the last guy for not taking what the defense gives him, getting on this guy for taking just that. Would love the deep ball and middle of field throws to start showing up aplenty, but it is what it is. He’s 23. If only we can protect him with some common sense run plays on 2nd/3rd, goal line, etc., but let’s go empty and put it on him. Even average Defense would tell a different story of this team this year.

Save hargrave the defense has been awful.

Cox has been invisible, Barnett was never visible, kerrigan I think has yet to make a tackle, sweat has one sack on the year where he wasn't blocked and had a big off sides today.

The LBs are easily the worst in the league.

Nelson while better than Maddox on the outside has been pretty average and got totally abused today by Tyreek hill and while Tyreek hill does that to a lot of dudes it's no excuse.

Maddox hasn't done anything bad but nothing good as well 

The safeties they're as invisible as the LBs and DEs I wouldn't even know they were in the field except when they're giving up completions tds and long runs.

Hargrave's contract is up year after this then eagles will need I'd say about 11 more dudes in defense as of now the cupboard minus hargrave is empty.

Though I do like the hustle I've seen from Milton Williams and Davion Taylor looked promising pre season.

Jalen Hurts on pace for 4,960 yards passing, 66.2%, 30 passing TDs,. 9 INTs, 960 rushing yards & 4 rushing TDs this season thru 4 games.

 

All with no benefit of an offense even attempting to call a running game anymore to help him.  

Refs wiping a game-changing TD off the board in Green Bay. They really gotta start Fing off.
