I hope Fitzgerald re-signs with the Cardinals at some point this season if this is their title run season.

Refs wiping a game-changing TD off the board in Green Bay. They really gotta start Fing off.

I still love football, but officiating has absolutely made me love and care about it less.

I mean Minshew is the answer right now. He only had 90% of his stats in garbage time. The main posters here for the most part seem smart so it’s crazy to me they can’t see the defense is the big problem. It’s an agenda, they hate Hurts from the day he was drafted, because he was drafted and hurt Wentz. They can’t see he’s actually developing, over 30pts twice in 4 games. There is a learning curve but they expect him to be peyton manning. He is on track to CRUSH the eagles passing yard record but he cant throw the ball apparently.

Yup I was on the edge of the cliff with hurts after the dallas debacle where he played horribly but I've inched back away from the ledge, hurts looked loads better today, he still had some plays I'm sure he'd like back but for the most part for majority of game he kept them in position to win, where as the defense just relented.

It’s fair to say Hurts isn’t the first player that needs upgrading.  He’s inconsistent and I’m not yet sold he can be the long term guy at starting QB, but he’s also a first-year starting QB and he will look bad at times — just like Sirianni will make bad decisions in his first year as head coach.

My takeaway from this game is let’s make sure to use these high draft picks in 2022 on defense, defense, defense.  This looks like it could be a bottom 5 unit by the end of the season.  The defense has been ignored in the draft for too long.

Agreed. My son and I refused to high five today until one play had turned into the next for the same reason. Of course, we celebrate the Goedert TD where his head almost gets ripped off, surely had to be on the Defense, but….lol, smh, etc., etc.

Jalen Hurts on pace for 4,960 yards passing, 66.2%, 30 passing TDs,. 9 INTs, 960 rushing yards & 4 rushing TDs this season thru 4 games.

All with no benefit of an offense even attempting to call a running game anymore to help him.

Not to mention he’s been downright incredible in the 4th quarter.

The way he can find that first read screen in the flat from 10 feet out and then hit them on the run is beautiful.

8 YPA for the game and you are ****ing?

Not so sure the Eagles aren’t the worst team in the division again. Which is saying a lot because the giants and WFT kinda suck. If you finish last in this division in back to back years, Lurie would have to do something you’d hope

How many throws has he completed that Koy Detmer would not complete?

Well, well, well …… Phillies finish the season at 82-80.  I called that roughly 4 months ago.  I think my exact words were "This is an 81-81 team, unless they stay healthy — then they might get to, 82-80.”

They drafted D in the first three rounds of 2017.  Then they won the SB.

Since then, on days 1 & 2...  Goedert, Dillard, Sanders, JJAW, Reagor, Hurts, Taylor, Smith, Dickerson, Williams.

12 yards a completion today. Top 10 in the NFL for the year.

I don’t have any problem with a short passing game and throws at the LOS if the team is getting 10+ yards per completion.

It's only his 4th game......give him a chance to grow. 😉

Of course. If you can repeat it, it's great.

Agree.  Hurts doesn't suck.  But he needs to be better in order to be "the guy" here.

One issue, however, is the throws that aren't being made because of pocket presence.

11.6 yards per completion for the year. So yeah

At least we got through a game without losing anyone to injury.

Hurts will be a nice back up for us the next two seasons.  Still cheap on his rookie contract too.

Provided of course that you don't want to actually win those games

Because we’re 4th in YAC

I was never sold on Hurts, but feel he’s been good enough and that we’re never going to be happy. We got on the last guy for not taking what the defense gives him, getting on this guy for taking just that. Would love the deep ball and middle of field throws to start showing up aplenty, but it is what it is. He’s 23. If only we can protect him with some common sense run plays on 2nd/3rd, goal line, etc., but let’s go empty and put it on him. Even average Defense would tell a different story of this team this year.

Receivers were open and he missed them.

I still don't know why it was called back, what was the penalty???

You don't understand, if Watson has those stats on a 4-12 team, he's an elite QB, if Hurts hast those stats on a 1-3 team, he's a loser.

Hurts was playing behind a makeshift OL in a game where they had to gamble on offense against a team they knew would put up 30+ points.

I have no idea what people expect from him, "awful fumble" when two defenders run free and hit him when he's just finished dropping back? Yes, one bad throw that should have been intercepted, 3 TDs called back for various reasons.

The problem with this team is a total lack of talent on the back 7 on defense. The offense woes can be fixed with experience, the defense requires a draft or two.

That's one of the problems. The other is a short throw specialist.
