Who knows what role scheme plays but the lanes open in the running game are just ugly

It doesn't help when you're going against two of the best offenses in the league, but I hate it too. The fronts are light, basically begging the offense to run the ball. DL doesn't get a good push, LBs are late to the ball, it's horrible.

Cards putting it on the Rams.

I went 5-0 against the spread for the 1pm games, but now the Rams and Broncos are killing me.

That's a BS call,

which owner made it a point if emphasis to be so ticky tac about illegal down field, it's been unreal how much they've called it this year so far.

I disagree on a BS call. He was 4 yards past the LOS and importantly blocking no one. If he was engaged in a block they probably let it slide.

Carolina can absolutely beat us. They can score and play defense.

Their defensive coordinator is going to blitz the hell out of Hurts.

CAR might be the first middle-of-the-road team the Eagles will play this season.  It’ll be interesting to see how the offense and defense looks

I thought the Oline did well considering it was a quick adjustment

Basically all of Minshews stats but you keep calling for him. He also had 3 TDs called back for garbage penalties. They were still in the game till halfway through the 4q and were down the whole game to the cowboys. Can’t discredit him because the defense is trash.

False.  I have already posted how many of his numbers are in one score games.  His worst stastical games are in blowout losses

Carolina is over rated.  They beat the Jets, Texans and the Saints who just lost to the Giants.  We can definitely beat them.  They don't have an offense like Dallas or KC.

Would feel better if Lane and Mailata played next week.

Don't disagree but I think we have a good chance of winning that game.

People are upset about the last 2 games on defense and rightfully so.  But those are 2 of the top 5 offenses in the NFL.   If Carolina hangs 40 on us then I'm worried.

Dillard vs Burns is a scary thought

His 4th quarter stats say different.  Just because he scored to make it a one score game at the end if the game doesn’t mean it wasnt garbage time. Just look that up. And btw it was a 1 score game today with 6:30 to go, had 50 yards in technical garbage time.

He also has had 10 blowout losses in 24 games (2019-2020) used 12pts since thats what we lost by today.

Carolina is very winnable. It will be one of the better D’s they have played but their O, especially without McCaffrey, shouldn’t gash this team. They are pretty balanced, should be fun.

Okay? Meaning he isn’t throwing his young fast WRs into trouble. No WRs injuries so far this year. Imagine that

Helps not having ancient WRs out there.

Early line has us at +3.5 next week.

If it looks familiar, we were...

Week 1: +3.5 vs Atl
Week 2: +3 vs SF
Week 3: +3.5 vs Dallas

I actually think this season will show that SF is very much a middle of the road team.

No.  When the QB holds the ball on an RPO, that's going to happen... a lot.  And he has, and they have called it.

I'm not sure that was the story last year. Jeffery was hurt to begin the season. Jackson got hurt on a punt return and again later on a TD celebration. Watkins was hurt in TC. Reagor missed games because of his thumb injury. Fulgham was thrust into the lineup because JJAW got hurt in a pregame warmup.

It's not always the QB even if you don't like him.

1167 yards 7TDs 2ints and 101.2 QB rating.

If I told anyone that would be Hurts numbers after 4 games we would all have been on board.

Don’t understand how the numbers are so skewed cause Hurts hasn’t been good.

Because he has been good. If the defense was better we would recognize that fact.

Some positives from the game.

- Reagor looked good as a kick returner and gadget player.  I liked what I saw of him on the jet sweep.  Still not worthy of the pick but if they can figure out how to use him that would be huge.

- Smith is the real deal.  He made the same stupid mistake that Reagor made by stepping out of bounds but I didn't see people harping on him the way they did Reagor.  Both were bonehead plays that discredited great throws by Hurts.

- Gainwell is slippery.  I'd be looking to mismatch him as much as possible.

- One of the best games from our tight ends in some time.  DG should have had 2 TD's and Ertz should have as well had Hurts hit him and he held on to the other.   Overall they looked strong.

- The OL, thrown together at game time for the most part played a solid game.  Not good or great, 3 penalties on Dillard was not good but given the circumstances, we can't be too mad.

- Watkins didn't have huge numbers but still looked fast and great RAC.  I'm still baffled how that wasn't a penalty when the DB basically threw him out of the end zone mid route.

- Hargrave is playing like a man possessed.   Hear me out, trade deadline candidate?  HIs prime is going to be wasted on a team with no direction or young talent.

- Josh Sweat looked disruptive again even though his sack was wiped out.  I thought the neutral zone call was VERY close.  He got a great jump on the ball and the only angle they showed wasn't even down the LOS.

On the other hand.  We need to put Fletcher Cox and Ryan Kerrigan on milk cartons.

The state of Philly sports.

-Phillies: a team with one of the worst farm systems in MLB, a team with not even close to enough talent to contend, and an owner who won't go over the luxury tax to buy the talent they need since the farm system sucks. And the 4th longest playoff drought in pro sports.

-Flyers: some nice young players, but no elite talent, and miles away from being a cup contender.

-Sixers: a team that still can't find a co-superstar to pair with Embiid to become a legitimate Finals team, and showing no means of getting one right now since none are available and Simmons had his trade value plummet

Eagles: a flat out bad team with no QB of the future, a GM who has run the organization into the ground, a coach who may or may not be in over his head, and an owner who thinks said GM can do no wrong.

Fun times.

Any word on Lane Johnson and what caused him to be out?  Its odd for someone to show up the play and then leave for "personal reasons” and then nothing of note to come out about it or speculated in the press.

Been wondering this myself.  Not a peep or any follow up even after the game.  Very odd.

Think what you want, I already posted the facts. Here’s another fact, Jalen hurts is hot garbage.

Been saying for a couple years now Shanahan isn't the mythical football God he's made out to be.

False. He’s on pace to CRUSH the Eagles passing yard record with a 101 rating. You’re wrong

Reagor did nothing else that game.  Smith was very good outside of that play today.
