You can blame the Universities and the lending institutions for the rising cost, Blame the insitutions and society for lack of quality curriculum, blame society and bad parenting and horrible High School Career advisors on not explaning the value versus the cost equation. And lastly blame the students, for all along they made the final decisions even if they were given bad advice, they still made their own beds. 

Lastly - an education is only as good as what you are being taught. 

 

Elon Musk stated it best,  if you want to learn something, you dont need college or a college education, the information is out there, available to all, mostly for free. And thats mostly true outside of a few professions,  like needing a medical or Law degree. 

 

 

I think the median starting salary for college graduates is higher now than it was 30 years ago even when adjusted for inflation.  The percentage of people going to college has only slightly increased.  The real difference is the cost.  I do think young people don't tend to think through the consequence of getting a significant student loan. There are plenty that make poor choices in careers and majors.  I do think there are plenty of fields such as teaching, finance and engineering that you will not be able to get into without a degree. The real exception is for like a construction trade although there are more degrees designed to help people in that field. I don't think the education system is any worse.  I think generally educational theory and curriculum has advanced.  

I think the blame is more complex.  I do agree that a fundamental problem is that Universities have over spent on facilities.  I also think the availability of money and the failure for kids to do a real cost benefit analysis is a problem.  I mean a lot of kids would avoid problems if they stayed at home and went to community college.  Unfortunately, they are lured by the idea of having a college experience.

I could understand if they said try using him in ways the panthers have with mccaffrey where he’s a receiver in the slot at times and running back like McCaffrey. i think mccaffrey’s talent level is just better. There’s a reason he went in the top 15

The NFL since the time Colston was drafted (in the 7th round) started moving towards faster WRs... not big guys who could box out defenders.  Marques Colston was drafted in 2006.  The NFL has changed.  Taking a WR like Colston in Round 2 is foolish, especially when this team really was struggling with any kind of deep speed.  They had a TE to work the middle of the field.  They had just drafted another TE to work the middle of the field, and felt the best move was to draft a guy who struggled with speed and separation?  Just a terrible, terrible selection.

I think they believed he could replace Alshon.  Then they signed Alshon to a dumb extension.  I do think part of the failure of the pick goes beyond just scouting.  I mean lack of player development under Pederson was an issue. It's also not like they were game planning mismatches well. 

Dickerson has to stay healthy enough to play.  Let's hope he does.  

The best plan for the offense as a whole is to feature the run early in games and keep with it as long as it's working; 25-30 carries per game shouldn't be out of the question.  Any team with a young QB benefits from a strong run game (Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, etc.)

Moving Miles Sanders for whatever we think is the best return possible is not how to make the Eagles better -- at least not yet.  Scott and Gainwell toting the rock on the ground isn't going to get it done.  Sanders is the 15-20 carries per game guy right now and there isn't an alternative on the roster.

Not just a running attack but one that also utilizes Hurts.

I always loved the Tecmo bowl graphic the the guy throwing the sling in the air when coming back from injury. Sad to say tecmobowl is still a better game than Madden

I still play super techmo bowl from time to time. QB eagles dominating with his legs. I Fing hate playing against Dave meggett on that game. He always burns me.
