Explain to me how DeSean only could stay on the field for 8 games in two seasons in Philly, but is already on his 5th game in LA?

Maybe there's something in the Philly water?

My guess is they are using him mostly as a 4th option/decoy where as the Eagles looked at him as a #1, #2 WR.

@LeanMeanGM  Eagles 17 Panthers 19

Bonus prediction: Jalen Reagor with a 50+ yard touchdown catch or run.

I kinda actually think the Eagle will win this one though. And I think they're going to start winning a bunch of games starting this Thursday.

Just need to add an extra bye week for these international games.

Once the NFL gets to 34 teams and 18 games, with one team in London, other in St Louis, since their lawsuit is ongoing, maybe then owners can make enough money.

If another game was added to make it 18, is their a chance that active rosters may expand from 53 to whatever?   Or would that cost owners that much more money in salaries?  Since obviously they were going broke with 16 games.

Nope.

Listening to Mike florio on WIP yesterday he discussed the jags think there’s a chance he leaves before the end of the year. Internally they looked at the situation and didn’t believe was enough to fire with cause. But he could hang it up himself. He actually gave a scenario after the London game in week 6 that he could not return.

Everywhere Urban goes controversy goes with him. He is a piece of sheet human being.

@LeanMeanGMh

Eagles 10

Panthers 20

Slay 1 interception

He is. Yet I’d be willing to bet if he’s fired or leaves the jags he’d go to USC

Why not Driscoll at RT and Jordan at LT? I get Dillard was the first round pick but its the better option unless they are trying to get film on Dillard to other teams for a trade.

Because they want their best 5 guys on the OL.   It isn't complicated.

They believe Dillard - Dickerson - Kelce - Driscoll - Mailata

is a better line than:

Mailata - Dickerson - Kelce - Herbig - Driscoll

Most likely, he has an easier time of hiding all his BS in college.

That is one thing I'll say about this staff they seem to get what they think is the best players out there regardless of draft position

I also think it’s cause Driscoll is a better guard then he is a tackle. When he was drafted there was the story they tried him at center but they believed he could play every position on the line but a lot of draft analyst thought he was best suited for guard. I know Michael Kaye either last week or this week tweeted that stoutland loves Driscoll at guard.

It would not surprise me one bit if Driscoll is the guy that they have targeted to replace Kelce.

Because the Rams, unlike Howie, recognize his limitations and are asking him to play about 30% of the snaps.  Here, he was basically the #1 WR.   Long story short... Howie screwed up... and paid for him via trade and then a contract.    It was D-U-M Dum.  (Intentionally misspelled.)

They've needed to do that for a while now with the Thursday night games.

That's because they don't have any skin in the game on the vast majority of these players in terms of draft status.

True and with a team drafted by Howie that's a good thing.

Why is it good?  I'm on the side that hates international games.  I don't like the fact that you take a home game away from a certain amount of teams every week and the revenue that brings in.  With the numbers below, that means that instead of playing a home game, the home city misses out on $350,000 in taxes, which I'm sure could help in some way.  On top of that, you look at all the revenue created from restaurants, shops and hotel tax that is reinvested in to the community.

An NFL team earned about $7 million, on average, in ticket sales from a single stadium event in 2016. About 55% of that revenue is used to pay athletes or musicians. 10% goes to general stadium administration, 5% goes to the team's coaching staff, 5% is paid in taxes, and the remaining 8% is profit.

Apparently the girl works for a marketing company that represents Urban's restaurant group.

The marketing firm has said they are investigating whether or not the situation will have negative impacts on their ability to work with that group.

Still though it seems as though some are trying to steer blame and heat away from urban and put it on this young women, including the media circulating the story and video of her grinding on urban and excluding the video of urban groping her no no hole from behind, as that would obviously put the blame on urban.

I saw that but even so, they're at a bar and the reaction to her "grinding" on UM has been a bit overboard.  If that's grinding then I'd like to see how they would react if they saw what happens at a real club.  Granted, this was caught on video but still....she's rubbing her butt against him.  Ubran didn't help his cause by the thumb in the bum.

This case is bringing out the worst in social media if you ask me.  Internet sleuths found out who she was, blasted her name and organization out there and now she could lose her job.  Twitter folks are the first group to call out a "Karen" when they see one but they want to ruin this girls life for moving her hips.

He has the build for center.  Wouldn't mind seeing that one bit.

Network/External effects of sporting events are very limited. There are exceptions like the Super Bowl or conventions/events that last a week. The home city can make up any lost revenue from their own game, getting a cut of the international game on top of selling more merchandise overseas in a new market. The Jags are able to make money in two markets instead of one.

How does the home CITY make up any money with the sales of team merchandise abroad?

The city loses out, the employees that work those games lose a day of wages, those in the services business lose business as fans from out of town travel in for the game, fans from outside the city come in for tailgating hanging out at a local bar before or after the game (if they are attending the game).  That's money those folks wont get back.

But what about the other factors I mentioned?

-$350,000 in lost taxes the team pays with the revenue made from that game.

-revenue for restaurants and local shops

-hotel tax from people/teams staying in town

You can't make that up by selling merchandise in London, Germany or Mexico City.

i’m not on board with it either.
