How does the home CITY make up any money with the sales of team merchandise abroad?

The city loses out, the employees that work those games lose a day of wages, those in the services business lose business as fans from out of town travel in for the game, fans from outside the city come in for tailgating hanging out at a local bar before or after the game (if they are attending the game).  That's money those folks wont get back.

The hourly salary employees lose out for sure. Those paid on yearly salaries don't. It legitimately sucks for them, but it's such a small % that it barely registers to a sporting team. NFL teams host 10 game a year (8 regular, 2 pre-season). Let's not act that these are full-time jobs for most employees

But what about the other factors I mentioned?

-$350,000 in lost taxes the team pays with the revenue made from that game.

-revenue for restaurants and local shops

-hotel tax from people/teams staying in town

You can't make that up by selling merchandise in London, Germany or Mexico City.

Yes, those taxes go away...but the money made abroad is still taxed in the U.S.. So it's not - $350,000 net. So the NFL team receives from tickets, parking, concessions, merchandise, etc. Depending on the NFL team, they may or may not lose money. For example, the Packers would almost certainly make more money playing a game in London or Berlin compared to Wisconsin. The Cowboys would clearly lose money given all the high-priced sweets to Dallas.

Also, by doing this, the NFL gets international TV contracts...which should be significantly higher than any revenue from hosting games. That amount is taxed in the US too.

Most likely, he has an easier time of hiding all his BS in college.

Also think in LA if he’s winning and has them rolling you can get away with a lot more. I tend to think he’d dominate the conference at usc

A game a year in London and not always the Jags is good for the NFL overall.  They shouldn't do more than that though.

I saw that but even so, they're at a bar and the reaction to her "grinding" on UM has been a bit overboard.  If that's grinding then I'd like to see how they would react if they saw what happens at a real club.  Granted, this was caught on video but still....she's rubbing her butt against him.  Ubran didn't help his cause by the thumb in the bum.

This case is bringing out the worst in social media if you ask me.  Internet sleuths found out who she was, blasted her name and organization out there and now she could lose her job.  Twitter folks are the first group to call out a "Karen" when they see one but they want to ruin this girls life for moving her hips.

Twitter is by far the meanest and funniest of all the social media sites, but TikTok are the sleuths.  They knew the Capitol incident was going to happen a week ahead of time, they helped find the remains of Petito.   At least the nerds at Reddit did something to benefit everyone when they were running the stock market.
You fart in public and those TikTok loonies will post your name, address, phone number, and the first car you drove, within a week you’ll have the "People Against Methane” protesting  on your sidewalk.

Why not Driscoll at RT and Jordan at LT? I get Dillard was the first round pick but its the better option unless they are trying to get film on Dillard to other teams for a trade.

I'd be happy with a higher pick in 2023 honestly rather than forcing a 2022 pick from a team. We have plenty of ammunition in 2022 and I am hoping they maximize those selections with minor trade backs turning them into more quality picks too. Example, 6 to 10 and 12 to 15.  They need an entire frikn defense and a few key pieces on offense still. You can steal some additional day 2 selections in 2022 and 2023 by doing this.

It would not surprise me one bit if Driscoll is the guy that they have targeted to replace Kelce.

I thought Dickerson was going to be Kelce's replacement

Forget RD1, does Rattler go on Day 2?

I’m tired of the trade back. Draft some damn difference makers.

Just means each game his salary expectations are going to get bigger. Sign the man to an extension now. we waited too long as it is already.

I’d bet against it. He’s losing his job in college.

He might be entering the transfer portal instead of the NFL.

A team might fall in love with those trash QBs but neither should be first rounders. There is no first round talent QB in this draft.

Everywhere Urban goes controversy goes with him. He is a piece of sheet human being.

Before urban signed with Jags, I didn’t know much about his controversy other than the WR coach at Ohio state, who from what I see on Twitter is an enormous Dbag. I read up on Urban’s history last night and wow, it’s bad. Especially the WR coach, he was a messed up human being.

I got thinking about it too. His entire 9 month tenure with the Jags has been filled with nothing but controversy at almost every point of the off-season and now. I won’t be surprised if he’s fired within next 3 weeks.

Yeah I don’t understand why she’s getting heat at all. Really who cares about the dancing itself, for all we know Urban and his wife have an open relationship. I think it’s ridiculous she’s at risk of losing her job, I read she just bought a house too. Only other reason I could think why they might fire her is if company’s execs are religious and/or a religious clientbase
