As teams double Smith, yhere's no reason Raegor shouldn't be racking up yards this season.

Just imagine Quez was our 1st round pick in 2020

He's still not Jefferson.

Kellen Moore looks like one of the young up and coming coaching candidates at seasons end. I'd take him over Siri in a heartbeat

We may actually have a shot if we learn how to run the ball.

Yup

Or... we can just acknowledge that our GM can't draft.   And got lucky with Watkins.   Lucky?  Yeah... they had Hightower higher on their board than Watkins.  Watkins was an afterthought.

I’m all fine with being critical on the team even after a win, but calling for one of your own players to get hurt absolutely tells me you’re an awful fan.

Calling for someone to get hurt crosses the line into bad fan-ness.

The other fan sentiment should be reserved for watching your kid play pop Warner, supporting your friends and classmates in HS and college…not for professionals.

If someone wants to cheer a meaningless win as a fan or bemoan a meaningless win because they are an armchair gm…either option is just fine.

If a group of professionals require unwavering cheerleader support, then we’ve got bigger problems.

Per Slay, they did some disguising today to confuse Darnold.

I think it's safe to say Smith and a extra 1st rounder was a rare home run for Howie.

As a rule, I’m never taking the second best receiver on his own team in the first round. Needless to say, in this case you’re 100% correct and I missed.

Not how I come away from this game feeling.  Beyond the running game the play calling is just putrid.  There is no proper mix of anything.  It is only all of this or all of that.  All of short LOS plays or all of shots down field.  It's just bad.

I’m just so confused with the play calling. He was hitting guys in the middle of the field, and that 2 PT conversion was an elite play, but 2 YPA for the first half is problematic. That can’t be ignored.

I didn't ignore it...  I said at half time that he was displaying his limitations, instead of showing progress...  he was much improved in the 2nd half, so I said that...

That's a bad rule.

I want to think Hurts will be better if he isn't throwing all the time. I'm sure I will be disappointed in a few days.

They ran at Bama and Hurts still sucked

I also think we aren't acknowledging the Hargrave signing either.  How often does a FA become pro bowl caliber AFTER you sign him?

The Chargers will win it all, won't they?

Oooh, Barkley just rolled his ankle. Ugly to watch

Yeah he would but still I don't like Sirianni as a play caller at all beyond just the run to pass ratio.  I really do not like the redzone offensive play calling as well.

I'd give 5 1st rd picks for Herbert

Part of me is wondering if someone else starting calling plays in the second half.
