Jesus STFU you negadelphians, it was a good team win.

Smith is a stud, if you dont think so you have no idea what youre talking about.  Hes not even able to show half of his game right now and he's clearly our best WR

That was a big win for Sirianni on the road against a pretty solid, well coached team. Accept the win you miserable SOBs

I personally would like to Thank Sam Darnold for throwing the ball perfectly into the Eagles cover 2 sink zones strongest area for 3 ints. Eventhough the tape shows the Eagles run that defense as a base 85+% of the time he felt it was the right area to attack. Maybe he forgot he was not wearing a white and green uni anymore. Sam deserves the game ball for this win for sure.

Smith was terrible in some stretches of the game.  A drop early and a fumble.  Compared to other receivers we have had or drafted the last 10 years.  He's the best of the bunch.  Not saying much.  He's been good but the bar was low....very low.

Okay, but he is a rookie. I expect some bad plays by him. Again though I didn't watch the whole game unfortunately. How was it at the stadium?

Yeah that seemed like a stretch to me also.

Meaningless win?

You have a new coach that is trying to implement a new system and create a winning culture.  His mission is to make the team better, not optimize draft position.  You start accepting 4-win seasons, you become the Jags or the Lions.

Root for Miami and Indy to lose.

First half especially, the routes the WR and TE were running were embarassing.  I don't even put the blame on Hurts, even though I think the reason we are running those high school routes is because he limited as a passer.  The whole offense looked flat.  I am convinced Miles has checked out and it doesn't surprise me.  We literally beat a bad football team on the road because they were worse than us.  If people in here were allowed to celebrate a "moral victory" last week after giving up 40+ points again.  Then we should be able to point out that they won an ugly slopfest game.

He's a crybaby.

I agree. I am glad we won, but people (as I knew they would) put the blinders on.

We won this game because of how terrible Darnold is and that whole team choking the game away. Credit to Hurts for doing what he needed to at the end, but he was absolute garbage this game.

Rather than people acknowledge that, we now have them saying he's growing as a player, had a gutsy effort, put the team on his back, etc.

Yeah, no.

Streaker guy was a letdown too.  He just ran towards the Panthers sideline and just sat in the middle of the field.  He could have run around a little.  Made the security guys work a little harder.  But no.  Just ran.  Sat down and put his hands out.

I was all the way up in the bleeders and I knew it was an Eagle fan.  Bunch of college kids (carolina fans) behind me.  They were fun to mess with.  Not one fan incident.  Not one Carolina fan saying anything to Eagle fans.  Really the only negative interaction was when Dallas fan would walk up the steps and then....well you all know what happened.

Glad you guys had a pretty good time. And we got a win, maybe they should pay you guys to go to all the games.

Meaningless; Adjective, having no meaning or significance.

So, kinda like you?

A win is a win , losing doesn’t breed confidence , the key is to show improvement week to week , it’s good for the players and the coaches . You don’t intentionally lose 4 weeks in to land better first rd picks , first rd picks haven’t been the problem , the players selected in the first rd have been the problem .

Agree. Smith has had some high moments, but he can be better at times.  You can see the game is starting to slow down for him, but I can't help wonder if the QBs growing pains and system will put an artificial ceiling on to his season

Having Jalen Hurts as the quarterback is 100% going to hamper the development not only of DeVonta Smith but also Quez Watkins.  I'm not including Reagor because I think you need good coaching to get him the ball.  With how much he's open, he should be getting 10 catches per game.  Keep in mind, he's the Eagles #1 WR on a team that is averaging 37 passes attempts per game.  Compare that to Rondale Moore, who is option 4 for Kyler Murray and the Cardinals average 33 pass attempts per game.

I'm on record as not being a fan of Smith coming in to the draft and also not a fan of trading WITH Dallas to go get him.  I was honestly hoping the Eagles would trade down as I didn't think there was strong top 10 talent in the draft or use pick 12 on a defensive player while addressing WR in round 2.

It's going to be interesting comparing the 2021 WR class., especially the first 2 rounds.

Pick 5, Bengals - Ja'Marr Chase, 23 catches 456 yards 19.8 YPC 5 TDs.  He has Joe Burrow throwing him the ball.     This is what a #1 WR, top 5 pick looks like.

Pick 6, Dolphins-  Jaylen Waddle, 27 catches 231 yards 8.6 YPC 1 TD.  Has had 3 different QBs, Dolphins appear to be a mess.

Pick 10, Eagles - DeVonta Smith, 25 catches 341 yards 12.6 YPC 1 TD.  Jalen Hurts is his QB, is teams #1 option.

Pick 20, Giants- Kadarius Toney, 20 catches 281 yards 14 YPC 0 TD.  Played in 4 out of 5 games.  Jones/Glennon

Pick 27, Ravens- Rashod Bateman, Injured, hasn't played a game.

Pick 34, Jets- Elijah Moore, 8 catches 66 yards.  Not sure what's going on with him.

Pick 49, Cardinals- Rondale Moore, 21 catches 271 yards 13 YPC 1 TD.  Kyler Murray's 3rd/4th option behind Hopkins and Kirk and Green.  Murray has crazy weapons to work with.

Pick 56, Seahawks- D'Wayne Eskridge, 1 catch 6 yards

Pick 57, Rams- Tutu Atwell, No catches.  Playind behind Woods, Kupp, DJack, Jefferson.

Pick 59, Panthers- Terrace Marshall, 13 catches 107 yards

The next thing people will do is decide Mailata can't be good at RT without considering hes playing injured.

He was also up against Reddick who a very good pass rusher and the type of athletic player that Mailata can struggle against.

Zzzzz good one., Just because you dont agree with my facts, doesnt make them less true.

The fact that you actively root for your "favorite team" to lose? The "fact" that you think owners and GMs high five each other and celebrate when the team loses?

Oh okay. Good win for your Steelers yesterday.

I get it and I'm probably being bullish on him because I hated the pick but the fact IMO, he's looked bad a lot more than he's looked good when he was touted as a 1st round talent is concerning to me.  I want to see flashes of dominance.  Look at Nate Herbig, and UDFA.  Last year he was thrown in to the starting lineup.  He wasn't dominant but he also wasn't getting beat like Dickerson does.

I'm probably going to be overly critical of him all year but I'm also watching him and wanting him to dominate.  He was the 37th pick in the draft.  You don't spend the 37th pick in the draft on a guy to just be OK and a guy with Dickerson's pedigree should be able to pick things up quicker than an UDFA.  He should be getting better as the weeks go on, not getting worse.  Yea, it's just his 2nd game at LG after previously being at RG but I still expect more.

He needs to be out there every week showing flashes of why he was the 37th pick despite never finishing a college season due to injuries.

I think your comments are warranted. OTOH, he has had no practice, TC, or PS to speak of. It's baptism by fire. He needs time and  Stoutland.

Ugh.

Kelce had the worst game of all the OL yesterday and IMO it wasn't close.

I can't say that I noticed that, but the snap wasn't his best.  But, somehow Hurts should have caught it.  It looked within his radius.

I agree I think he will too. He's really really damn good already and he's going to get better.

DeVonta is a beast, he is literally always open, and this is without an above average passer at QB and play caller. Not to mention the dumb penalties that has cost him a couple of TDs.

Howie nailed this pick, and with a likely top 5 pick this year to boot from the Fins.

Nothing meaningless about that win.  Winning breeds winning.  Losing breeds losing.  But it wasn't a good game offensively by a long shot yesterday.

He was never "terrible," not for 1 minute

4for4 is just a miserable negadelphian and must live up to the Schmidt quote to be "real, true fan"

Picking 10-20 is how you end up in purgatory.

Being happy, or exicted over having a 5 win season instead of 4 is dumb.

If youre gonna stink... STINK, dont half ass it.

Congratulations on living what you preach.

I’d have assumed that by now that nfl fans would know not to read too much into a score line but a non eagles fan described the win by the eagles as "impressive”, and while there were many ways to describe the performance and win by the eagles, impressive is not how I’d describe it. I’m happy they won and a win can help teams with confidence but let’s not pretend that the eagles turned a corner yesterday, because they didn’t.

Yeah we "put the blinders on"...of course not a single person in here is pretending that win is anything other than what it was

But thankfully we have "real fans" in here like you to make sure we all know that the Eagles really suck.  Thank god. I was about to be happy for a win there for a second.   Thanks for keeping it in perspective for us all beginniners
