Not what I said. try to keep up

Are you sure ??  Here are your words.

"Reggie Brown had a 900 yard year with Andy Reid and never played again"

Actually it was 816 yards, and he played 40 more games.

"Reid has showed you time and again he can make junk WR's become pro bowlers"

TO, Desean and Tyreek Hill are his only pro bowl WR's, and none of them are junk.

I don't get it honestly.  I have posted his own words multiple times, and he continues to lie and say he did not say it.  Definition of a troll.

If Lane sits the rest of the year, is his salary prorated? If so, does that give us more cap this year?

yes, and your missing the previous 5 pages... PLUS theres this...

Nothing about the rest of the discussion changes those two statements.  Troll.

I think Texans are still paying Watson so I'm guessing we're going to still be paying Lane

There are a few questions with Lane that should be answered.  Are there any roster exemption rules for players missing a year without an injury?

At this point in time, I wouldn't be surprised to see Lane retire at the end of the year.

He's not on any list, so I don't see how they could not pay his weekly salary. I don't think they would do that anyway if they could.

Glad this is settled.

Nope, I do not owe you anything.  You really must struggle with reading comprehension.

Read my words again, I acknowledged you had me on ignore, and then I bet you could not ignore me.

End of the day it's a business and he's making $11 million if memory serves. I don't think he just gets to walk away with it. Could be wrong, idk much about NFL contracts.

His footwork on this throw is still terrible. He is just late on everything. Can’t wait until they’re open to throw.

His base salary is $1M. If he retires or quits, they can go after his bonus money. Otherwise there's not much they can do. It's a business that's governed by collective bargaining.

Who's the salary cap guy on here?

From purely a football standpoint, not taking away from the seriousness of whatever he's going through, this is an ideal situation for the Eagles to see what they really have at tackle.   We now get a trial run with Dillard and Mailata as the bookends, a scenario many of us talked about in the months building up to the season.  What if Dillard and Mailata show that they are the answer?  Mailata has his extension and Dillard will be going in to his 4h year, prime extension candidate.  Lane could become expendable.

What are the cap implications if:

Lane retires

Lane is traded

Lane is cut

Devils advocate....if QB1 even has an average game prior to this then there wouldn't be a need for so called crunch time.

What are the cap implications if:

Lane retires - complicated answer

Lane is traded - $12M additional cap hit to trade. Probably not going to happen.

Lane is cut - $19M additional cap hit. Probably not going to happen.

On the interception he sailed over Emo Ertz's head, I noticed he stood high like almost on his tippy toes.  I could see it, sitting all the way up top second to highest row in the stadium.  I never really noticed it before.  Or wasn't that pronounced.  Then I noticed him do it on the Watkins throw.

Yeah, I hope he improves as the season goes on, but timing throws are just bad. The guys are getting open, they just need to be hit in stride.

Yikes.  So even if Dillard and Mailata play like Pro Bowlers, Lane is here next year?

Can Lane kick in to RG?

Confusing to say the least.

What type family emergency allows you to leave your family, come back to philly, but still not play?

There is a TV show built around this premise. I think it's pretty clear what likely is going on.

I'm pretty naïve and also don't watch much TV.  What show would that be and what do you think is going on?

Think Dillard has played well enough to get something good for him at the deadline?

I don't see how they can just keep on piling up huge amounts of dead money while trying to build a competitive roster. It would be anywhere from $28 to $35M in dead money. Once they restructured him a few months ago it was pretty clear they intended him to be here next year.

If Lane is here then he’s your RT. He’s elite.

Dillard can go back to bench and continue to learn how to play RT.

Right now, we have 35.779 million in dead money no the books for 2022.
