My biggest fear is the Eagles get a top 5pick and we get Rattler 🤮

It shouldn't be, Rattler will most likely not declare for the draft this year.

Worst case scenario and would be the worst move of Howie's career. That said, him being benched in that game likely ended his upper first round fate.

I think Willis is gonna be the first QB drafted. I suspect with his traits he'll shine at the combine and GMs will talk themselves into him being special.

Isn't it best for them to save a first rounder if they can't make playoffs?

Absolutely but at what cost? If it was 2 maybe 3 games I can see it a lot more but, 4-5? No that's just to many in my eyes. I don't think Wentz will be happy sitting that many. This is a guy they dumped resources into trying to get him back on track for the future of the franchise. Especially if its in in the 20's they aren't really that much difference in value at that point from a 2nd and the first.

That first rounder has a good chance to be top ten. Maybe even top 5

When was the last time a team had the #1 pick back to back years?

Browns when they drafted Myles Garrett and then Baker Mayfield.  Before that they had the #2 pick and traded that to the Eagles.

Yes, there's no way they bench him for that many games. It might sound like a few numerically, but think about how long that would all play out in real time. Reporters asking them about it every game. Asking Wentz about it all the time. And also you know the old fogy types would be whining about them tanking in the media and not holding up to the integrity of the game.

It would be a mess.

Maybe they would bench him for quarters or halves of games if they're getting blown out. But flat out bench Wentz for the entire month of December if he's healthy? Not happening.

What are they going to do? Frank Reich just announce at the podium one day that Eason is going to be their starting QB going forward if Wentz continues to play like tonight? Would be a terrible look.

I don't see it that early. I could be wrong I'm not going into an endless argument over it I just think they could turn it on as their schedule lightens up

Bad news. There isn’t any elite QBs this upcoming draft. I love Ridder but he’s not a first rounder. Not yet at least.

I'd take Corral over him.

Completely agree. It can all change next week but, for eight now this is where I am with it for now

But will they be mathematically out of it after 12 games?

Id say good chance except their division may actually be crappier than ours.

It's an awful QB draft and 2023 doesn't look so hot either tbh. It's why I think it should still be Watson or bust.

You’d better become a Dolphins fan … because that’s where Watson is headed

Forgot it wasn’t long ago that the Browns were awful.

This is how I feel about Howell from NC.

0.0% chance he goes to Miami. I'll put my Prophet guarantee on it which has never been wrong in tens of thousands of guarantees.

Eh…Not a fan of Corral.

Don’t get me wrong Ridder isn’t a complete QB. He’s raw and needs to get consistent with his accuracy but I think Ridder has all the to be great. Problem is do the Eagles have the right coaching staff to teach him? Probably not.

Colts fans would probably love it. We ain't winning anyway let's save our top 8 pick instead of giving it to another team. If we did that I'd be on board.

Yep. See that one coming a mile away. Poor Tua never really even  got a chance

I would love to know the conversation that went on in the dolphins draft room when they took tua at 5. Because I don’t think they took him thinking he’s going to be a bonafide franchise quarterback. I think they took them because they wanted a franchise quarterback and they needed a franchise quarterback and they didn’t exactly love Tua. they loved the idea of drafting the quarterback and not so much the player. Because there were rumors last preseason they were impressed by him and how he might not be the guy they wanted to go forward with.

They still play the Texans and Jags 4 times. No chance it’s a top 5 pick.

And the jets.

Miami has a chance cause that could completely implode if tua sucks when he comes back cause brissett has been bad. They play the jets twice, houston, atlanta, giants and the rest of that schedule is favorable for us. I think they go 3-2 in those  games at best. Their QB situation kills them in most games.

Also just thought about it, if Wentz gets anywhere close to 2017 or even the end of 2019 he would be their 1st round pick. They get him back to that level that is worth more then any 1st round pick. I think the colts will do everything possible to get him to that point.

And Eagles play @ Indy next year. We need everything we can do to get Tatergeddon Bowl next year.

You are what your record says you are but the colts are really wentz not leaving the game against the rams and their kicking game being a disaster from being 3-2. Lost by 3 to the rams and 6 to the ravens in OT. Those two teams are a combined 8-2.

Won't be as fun playing him in his house.

Exactly, he is getting back on track you don't risk screwing that up. They will get their opportunities to put a few wins together as their schedule lightens up
