The Colts, Reich, Wentz, and Wentz's people have already had this conversation.

Everyone on that team from CEO to Wentz's gardner knows that *IF* the Colts stink Wentz is getting benched. Not for shotty play, not for not liking Wentz, not for anything else but protecting that pick.

There is ZERO chance the colts give up a top 12ish pick that they have control over.

Wentz, who we know is fragile, and being a QB who almost always need surgery for something will be have an elective surgery some where around late November/Early December

There's zero chance Reich benches him for that reason. If Doug was the coach over there I could see it

I'm a big Driscoll fan. We'll see. I just hope Dickerson can stay healthy. He was one of my favorite players coming out. It's nice to see him get reps but I'm worried if he rushed coming back.

I am a fan of Driscoll as well. I liked that selection when they made it cause he had a bunch of versatility and i thought he could eventually be a starter.

I was against bringing Dickerson back this soon cause he’s had so many major injuries in the past. Giving him closer to the 10 month mark from his injury was my ideal scenario not bringing him back around the 8.5 month mark. Hopefully he is able to stay healthy cause he has the talent to be really good.

I would've like to see him redshirt this year or like you said at the 10 month mark

No way in hell

Did you miss Wentz getting benched here?  He wouldnt go along with that plan at all.

I can't help but wonder if the thing that offended the NFL the most was Gruden's criticism of Goodell, rather than the rest of it.  Considering what a dreadful org the WFT have been under Snyder, they have easily kept that in house without a bit leaking  Someone somewhere has chosen to get at Gruden.

I am presuming the same NFL and associated media who can't find enough pearls to clutch today have taken a read of some of the lyrics of the NFL Half Time participants they've been fawning over recently?  It's not something that personally offends me as there are bigger things in life to worry about, but the same standard has to exist for all.

Dave Chapelle said it right in his last Netflix special lol

I wasnt upset or offended, had more of a feeling like oh yeah you’re done dude. But in all honesty, it’s a bad look for the NFL who’s constantly trying to repair their image. Gruden was likely just made out as an example. It’d be naive to think other league execs, coaches, owners didn’t say similar things in emails as well. They either haven’t been caught or just kept secret by NFL to not make their image worse. Dan Snyder got off Scot free, you know he had to of said some bad stuff. I’m sure the Goodell part played a role.

funny you mention the half time participants, especially with this year lol

I tend to think the day of reckoning is coming for Snyder. It’s much easier to force a franchise to get rid of or make a coach quit then it is to oust an owner who’s a billionaire and will fight it til the bitter end. So you better have as much facts, evidence and things against him as possible to get the removal and force his hand.

I'm fine with that too....just get me the most impactful defensive players available.  Hard, motherf'in, criminal types with speed.  I don't want choir boys, I want Byron Evans, Seth Joyner, Jerome Brown, Eric Allen types.  I want defensive players that don't know how to even smile.

Jerome had a great smile...

For those interested in QB prospects for this draft, Kenny Pickett (terrible name for QB) has been someone I’ve seen getting a bunch of hype lately. Now Dane is writing about him. I believe he’s going to be getting invite if he hasn’t already to the senior bowl. Just throwing a name out there if you find yourself watching CFB & Pitt is playing.

Don’t recall ever watching him, but he’s old for a college player. He’ll be a 24 year old rookie. He’s a man among boys right now.

Yeah he’s about same age as Burrow was when he was drafted

The halftime entertainment aren't employees of the league.  Gruden insulted other owners, who went to Goodell and voiced their "concerns" with Gruden remaining employed.  When the NFL did a review of the emails Gruden sent to Bruce Allen there was a trail of 7 years' worth of offensive material, which goes against what the NFL is trying to promote.  In light of all the other information that surfaced, the league "suggested" to Mark Davis that he let Gruden go.  Only Davis would have allowed Gruden to frame it that he and the organization "parted ways".

The NFL has looked hard at Snyder.  They haven't found anything.  He's likely much better versed in HR policies and corporate "do's and don'ts" than he is at running a football team.

Roughly six month difference, if that matters.

Gruden should be fired for being stupid really. In all of my adult life, never would I type out the things he typed out in a professional email server. He was working at ESPN at the time, but emailing with Bruce Allen who WAS employed by the NFL. I believe he sent the emails from his ESPN server.

I work for an insurance company. If my friend worked for another insurance company, and I was emailing him about the president of his company and making racist/homophobic slurs in general, then 5 years later got hired by that same company (obviously without them knowing about those emails), they'd be fully within their rights to fire me if they uncovered them 5 years after that.

I think we've all said similar things to what Gruden wrote, and 10-15-20 years ago it was OK to say those things. But never, never has it been acceptable to put those things in writing using company emails. He's just a complete moron to have done so and should be fired for that alone.

He has conference games coming up that should determine his rise or fall in the draft and for the Heisman. So far he’s much better than last season.

Even the dude who runs the OTC website is smart enough to figure this out.

Eagles need to keep the Indy kicker on the under the table payroll for the rest of the season.

Even if Indy makes the playoffs, they have no chance of going anywhere IMO. Might as well bench Wentz now according to certain posters in here.

The reality is they likely aren’t going to be sitting at 3-10. The next five games are houston, at sf, titans, jets and jags. Likely the favorites in 3 of those 5. I think the colts are going to split one of the SF and titans game. i think they are going to be sitting at 5-5 heading into the bills and Bucs games in weeks 11 and 12. Probably be 5-7 but with Houston, bye, NE, Vegas, Arizona and jags left on the schedule. Not sure 9-8 wins their division but i do think 7 seed is there to be had. Browns, ravens, chargers, bills are locks. Titans likely win that division. I’m guessing the chiefs get hot and get a wild card. Comes down to raiders, broncos, colts, Steelers and bengals for the 7th seed. The 4 games against the jags and Texans and one against the jets is going to help get them to 6 wins. I can see them winning 3 of these 4 games against raiders, titans, niners, patriots. Besides the titans i think they are better than all of those teams.
