His private thoughts don't affect you.  They don't harm you.  They have nothing at all to do with you.  So no need to publicly hang someone just so you can boost your own ego and prance around like you're some morally righteous figure. 

Problem is when you share it with someone it's not really private anymore.  That person you share it with can turn around and share it with others.  You just don't know.

 

Gruden was guilty of bad manners and poor judgment.

Anyone who works in a corporation should be careful what they put in an e-mail, he won't be the first employee fired for egregious stupidity.

I wonder what will happen with Mayock; he was brought in there and given a GM title but I think most assume his input is limited to player evaluation, scouting and the draft.

It will be interesting to see if they trust him to be a traditional GM with full responsibilities or even trust him to hire a new head coach.

The comments on DeMaurice Smiths lips were out of line and racist, that goes back years with cartoons portraying Black people with giant lips.  
 The words he called Goodell are more stupid to me than offensive, does Gruden also drive a 1986 Z28?  Then again I’m not gay but I imagine they’ve been called worse. 
  I’ve only seen little bits of the women ref comments, and not wanting them on the field because they’re women,  there has to be more than that to be offensive.  My wife works with  some religious women who wouldn’t vote for a woman to be president.  I don’t think they’re getting cancelled or being called misogynistic.

I follow this twitter page, has a strong following, called NFL Draft Diamonds. It’s a good resource that began by specializing in finding small school draft prospects. They’ve since been bought out and expanded into journalism covering NFL/college/Fantasy football.

They hired this one ex scout to write for them, he worked for the Jets & apparently worked with the likes of Polian & Belichick. 

I’ll be honest, this guy sucks. He writes a lot of clickbait garbage. Mostly trying to go against public opinions, which is fine if you have a good argument. But his arguments were such as ripping Lawrence as a prospect, saying Chase quit on LSU by opting out, said Wilson would be a bust. I’ve already been able to discredit his articles. The Chase article was why wouldn’t Chase just enter NFL draft after LSU National championship game instead of quitting on his team? Well he wasn’t eligible yet. He ripped on Joe Douglas for drafting Zach Wilson, saying this is same guy that hired Adam Gase. Except Douglas was hired after Gase. 
 

Anyways, he’s an aspiring NFL GM & is trying to get his readers to email the Lions owners to hire him as their next GM. He just dropped this article of a new defense he wants to install, the "38”. It’s a 0-3-8 defense, meaning zero DL/ 3 LB/ 4 S/ 4 CB. I appreciate innovation and fresh ideas, but I feel like that just wouldn’t work.

Gruden reportedly exchanged some of the emails in question with former Washington Football Team president Bruce Allen. According to the New York Times' report, Gruden’s emails were discovered by the NFL as part of its investigation into workplace misconduct at the Washington Football Team.

 

Gruden really is stupid, if he sent e-mails to the WFT corporate e-mail address instead of private correspondence.

Of course, putting anything offensive in writing is stupid to start with.

I'm not normally one to suggest this, but it's time for RTK to once again be perma banned. We all know he was before, but now he's been openly accusing posters of being racist, misogynistic, etc. On top of that, he's defending Gruden and being openly sexist and misogynistic himself.

He offers nothing positive to the board in any capacity.

Yeah when Chris gocong played at Cal Poly I remember him saying they ran a defense with like 5 or 6 LBs and no down lineman, just kind of an amoeba defense, Bill Bilichick has occasionally given looks with no down lineman, the front 7 guys just all standing moving around, but still a couple if those guy were actual DL like Richard Seymore just standing up instead of in a 3 or 4 point stance

Uh what? Ref's don't get roughed up (usually), what does the physicality of football have to do with anything? And there's no shortage of slovenly/portly/tubby referees out there. The outcry about women refs was just people hating change. Be honest, have you heard anything about the female ref since she joined the league? I mean in terms of bad calls/inability to "keep up"/getting injured because it's not a safe atmosphere for a woman, whatever that means.

oh i was just joking. It would be the ultimate sticks defense. 11 defenders all in a straight line.
