Cafe ran out of avocado and saw a millennial in a puddle of tears on the ground mumbling "can't have toast without the avocado...." Sad.
January 20, 20223 yr Real men would have used a flamethrower on the chicken thighless and avocadoless liberals who just want to ruin America.

I finally did end up visiting a grocery store last week that was fairly bare of various fruits and vegetables. Stopped by yesterday on my way home and it was stocked as normal. Our Just-In-Time supply chain doesn't handle disruptions well. That should be obvious by now. If the happy path isn't followed from A to Z, you get sporadic outages. This is especially bad for perishable items. Edit: the site actually blocks the acronym for Just In Time? WTF?

First off, from what I've seen, the shortages are spotty. That being said, of course Covid is the primary reason - but pull off the layers of the onion and see how much this is attributable to people being actually sick as opposed to exorbitant, unwarranted restrictions on freedom of movement and freedom to work. And yes, a LOT of this is incompetence. Or maybe you believe what's going on in California exudes competence.

It really depends. Is the person genuinely sick? Haven't there been instances in health care where persons testing positive were allowed to come to work if they were vaccinated (which is ridiculous to differentiate if unvaccinated and vaccinated can both transmit)?

If the happy path isn't followed from A to Z, you get sporadic outages. This. What happens every time there is a snowstorm? People stock up in advance, emptying the shelves. Trucks are slowed down because of snow and ice. So there are empty shelves for a few days until the supply chain gets sorted out. What is occurring now goes back to March 2020. It's not much different now than it was then. There are sporadic outages because the supply chain is disrupted.

A bunch of Keystone Cops running the country right now. Why don't you enlighten us, for example, about what a great job Pete Buttigeig is doing. Kamala Harris too while you're at it. Of course, when Joe Biden takes his meds and has a rare lucid moment, I'm sure you'll let us know about how great he is too.

Of course, when Joe Biden takes his meds and has a rare lucid moment, I'm sure you'll let us know about how great he is too. Harris sucks. Biden is mediocre. Better than Trump, but mediocre. Buttigieg has been fine. I'm not sure why you picked him out of all the others, but he did help get the infrastructure bill passed (even Republicans were impressed with him during his confirmation hearings, and I think that helped him gain some cred to work with them) He even pushed back on Joy Reid, with the ever meta "let's cover how other news outlets are covering things because then we can complain about the liberal media for our viewers" Fox News covering: https://www.foxnews.com/media/pete-buttigieg-pushes-back-against-joy-reid-claim-infrastructure-bill-white-guy-employment-act Meanwhile you're up there digging for reasons spotty supply chain issues can be tied back to Democratic policies. You want to keep digging - keep "peeling back the onion" - until you find something that you can slap on Dems so you can feel good about yourself. Great. But stop thinking you're being clever. You're very transparent.
