I was about to do it and then TJ said be less poor and now I don't know what to do.

I purchased 20k in I-Bonds a few months ago because why the hell not. Nearly a 10% risk-free return on money I don't need. Not sure why anyone would mock that.

I'm still not sure in what universe a 10% return is "measly". Is your argument that he should pour that 40k in Amazon or something?

Guys, this isn't my life's savings.  I have money in a lot of different places.  I just don't know anything about bonds and thought it sounded like a good return.

You can also lose it all in 12 minutes. I'm not even sure what your argument is anymore. I don't think buying 40k in i-bonds is a bad financial move right now. Suggesting someone invest in real estate in this market right now (with 40k no less)....that's an interesting financial take

Why even work? Just become a full time gambler. You know how the old saying about scared money goes, amirite? Working at that point almost seems like a waste.

And if that doesn't work out, start running cars for pink slips. To be honest, that seems so easy and lucrative I can't believe more people don't go that route.
