If only those 192 had voted yes yesterday, the Democrats might have done something about this impending disaster when they had the chance months ago !

Of course you are mad the Democrats for the GOP voting against the bill.

It is the logical course, for a looney.

Sorry, we’re not playing your politics with the lives of every baby that has been put in jeopardy by your criminal negligence.

Mental illness is the real pandemic. Seek help immediately.

The Arab Spring and Tiananmen Square uprising didn’t happen because of food prices.

Wrong.

While the woke mob in the Russia thread is arguing how smart Biden is and how dumb Trump is, we're facing $6.00 a gallon gas this summer, skyrocketing food prices, and an inflationary spiral that we haven't seen since - I can't remember.  This is worse than Jimmy Carter.

Yeah, I think I’ll take the word of people who study those 2 events over yours.  Sorry

192 Republicans vote AGAINST money for the baby formula shortage.

THANKS BRANDON!

What else was in the bill besides formula?

Nothing.  The Republicans just weren't going to play along with Pelosi's attempt to cover the Democrats asses by pretending to finally do something about the shortage. Of course the Joemo's here will pretend that this bill was anything but nakedly political.

I was trying to read up on why people would vote against the bill.  Here’s what I’ve found on why people voted against it:

Quote

Republicans said the plan did not force the FDA to come up with a plan to immediately address the shortage, nor did it force federal agencies to look for formula that could be immediately redirected to American households or use the power of the federal government to move formula around. They also said the FDA already had enough money to deal with the crisis.

"The answer to the formula shortage is the families need more formula, and we need to get one of the largest domestic producers of formula safely operating again," said Republican Rep. Andy Harris, who chairs the Appropriations subcommittee that funds the FDA. "But this is not a money problem, it's a leadership problem. It's another example of this administration disregard for hard working American families who are already struggling with record high gas prices, food prices and inflation soaring to a 40 year high."

Welp there it is^

Sarah says the quiet part out loud and finally admits republicans care more about trying to stick it to the dems rather than actually do something about the formula shortage.

RIP to the trumpbot baby formula talking points from now on, you had a good run though!

So, it sounds like it's because Old Man Bad.

They're following the same playbook they have been since Clinton's first term ... it's more important to deny Dems a political win than to do the right thing for the people.

Republicans: Why is there a formula shortage?!?!

FDA: Because one of the few manufacturers had a bacterial contamination issue and had to issue a recall

Republicans: What took you so long to find it?!

FDA: Testing and investigations take time, staffing, and resources to rule out false positives and avoid shutting down a manufacturer without due diligence. To address the shortage in the interim, we can allow importation of foreign formula products but we need to test them extensively for safety but that requires additional resources, which we could use more of.

Democrats: Let's give the FDA more funding for this effort.

Republicans: 1955221380_ScreenShot2022-02-10at4_16_13PM.png.fcc450dbeeaefb5a9694ffa9d0ea0ecd.png

The GOP is an endless source of amusement.

Marjorie Taylor Scrotum says the real problem is that people on WIC can buy AS MUCH FORMULA AS THEY WANT.

Yep, people poor enough to be on WIC are the ones stockpiling formula in their gara. . .wait, poor people probably don't have garages. Where do they stockpile stuff? Vacant lots?

Politics are exactly the game the trump party is playing. Even when they know a yes vote is the correct, morally right thing to do… they vote no because… politics.

You mean a political party is playing politics?

The party of trump is playing politics to the detriment of the public, unwilling to do anything to fix the formula shortage or fuel price gouging.

They are willing to starve babies and watch the economy drop in order to regain power.

Why would anyone in their right mind want them to have that power?

Because they, too, are irredeemable human filth.
