Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We a

I feel like Germany of all countries (with the inherited shame that they carry for the atrocities of ww2), should be the first country doing all that they can to stop this. It’s a chance for atonement.

You'd hope but unfortunately they appear to be the most dependent on them for oil. Time to turn up the pressure on them to the max.

We've covered this. Mime makeup is a yes.

Republican Senator Tommy Tuberville is not only a Putin-appologist, but he's an abject moron.

Quote

Tuberville discussed the escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine. He claims that a large part of Vladimir Putin’s desire for further annexation of Ukrainian land is due to the amount of farmland in Ukraine.

"He can’t feed his people,” Tuberville said. "It’s a communist country, so he can’t feed his people, so they need more farmland.”

I mean if the US/NATO wanted to put forces right on the Russian border, why use Ukraine when they could use Latvia?

Or is it because we are dealing with geography and most Americans would have no idea that Latvia is a country, let alone a country in NATO that borders Russia?

Not sure why they're doing this piecemeal but looks like the US and parts of the EU are trending in the right direction at least...

Tommy Tuberville is a name that sounds like he was an SEC coach, did well, ended up with as OC nfl job  but failed miserable so he's coaching Arizona Christian in the NAIA

He was an SEC coach.  But he coached at Auburn, so he didn't do that well.

While she is right, When I suggested this, I was told absolutely not. Republicans don't want the President to capitulate to Putin's demands that are made by force and threat of invasion. It was also suggested to me, that if Biden agreed to this, Russia would still invade to overthrow the Gov't and install their Puppet.

Is this the start of what Biden was talking about yesterday?

I knew this would happen eventually. Too slow. And we both agree for even more severe sanctions against their industries. Some are suggesting banning Russian passports, kicking out the US EU Embassy staff, kicking out Russian Visa holders and students as well.

Such disrespect for Estonia.

Why would she do that?  She was probably just joking.  I have it on very good authority that Republicans never side with Russia over America.

They should put forces in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. I believe they have. I am no longer afraid of the Russian Military. They were overestimated. If they want to try and take the Baltics back, let them. The combined US/NATO forces will beat them soundly. I have no doubt.

C'mon man, everyone knows Latvia is fake. That's the country Doctor Doom rules over in the comics!

Joking? C'mon. Brown nosing Putin. Abracadabra agrees with her. LOL. And Biden is a very religious President, and he actually reads the bible and goes to church. So the slight against him should be directed at the former twice impeached President.
