I get that but blaming Biden for it is retarded.  A lot of factors playing into gas prices.  Just like the pipeline being axed. That didn’t drive up prices because the pipeline was t anywhere near complete.  We also have enough oil reserves that if we cut importing cold Turkey today we would have enough to last close to a decade.

Yes it's dumb. Presidents don't have much control over gas prices. Gas prices are up globally, nothing Biden has done impacts that regardless of the stories BDS sufferers tell themselves.

I wonder if groups like the French Foreign Legion has made their way into Ukraine to help them.

What policy specifically makes you pay $50 to fill up your Camry?

A lot of things do including policy.

I don't do Japanese. I prefer vehicles with the carbon footprint of a T Rex. One of them runs leaded gas. 😳

I had a CJ5. Dumped it to buy a Scrambler when I was a kid.

It doesn't really matter because oil is a global market. If Russian oil is cut off elsewhere it doesn't matter if we only use 7% Russian because demand will increase elsewhere for the oil we're competing for.

Time to ramp up production here in the good ol US of A

We've made our way back to 2018 levels, hopefully next year we're getting to 2019.

Lots of new permits were auctioned off last year. But I'm guessing those are years out from contributing to supply, and I'm not sure if all the sites that were taken offline for COVID are back online (not all will necessarily brought back into service)

If 7 percent of the oil supply gets cut off because no one buys from Russia we can fill that hole.

Yeah but countries that will be cut off from Russia oil will cause the price to rise still.

I'm ok with it. Easy for me to say because I'm not in a position where I'm sensitive to gas price increases. But even if that meant a tax I'd have to pay I'd pay it gladly to be part of the pressure that results in Putin's end.

Kyiv is under a ton of pressure right now. Russians are pressing hard.

Ok but what if you were sensitive to gas price increases?   Like so many other working class Americans?

That's why I acknowledged that it would definitely cause pain to others, and said I'd gladly pay a tax to socialize the cost of crushing Putin.
