The newfound patriotism displayed by leftists is an interesting development.

Maybe we should have a rowdy protest at the White House and then marvel at the spontaneous outburst of left-wing nationalism.

Actually most hardcore socialist leftists are squarely with the alt right on this. Their attitude is to give Putin anything he wants and hope for the best.

Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We a

I'm following it pretty closely and would welcome some intelligent discussion on it. Ukraine doesn't seem to believe an invasion is imminent as we do. However, they are resolved to protect their sovereignty. The EU seems to be solidly behind providing the Ukraine with military aid, but divided on what to do past that.

Pretty much every "regular” Republican that I know aren’t fans of Trump and were livid with Jan 6.  They just support the party over the current guy.   But to a man, we should all want Trump to disappear.

Neither options are great. I was terrified of Trump getting the nomination because I never thought he would beat Hillary.  I was wrong there.   I knew he was going to win this past election and he has no shot in 2024.

Oh, I'm for sure hoping that Trump doesn't run again. He's too divisive. I think Republicans should have an easy W in 2024, but Trump is revolting to so many people that he might make it interesting. That said, obviously I'll vote for him if he's the nominee.

And I'm not saying I know anyone who liked J6. Obviously no one likes seeing riots. I'm just saying normal people don't view J6 like the freaks on here that act like it was Pearl Harbor and 9/11 all over again. Normal people see through that foolishness for obvious reasons.

Own it, baby. That's what you voted for. That's what you enabled. Can't wish it away or downplay no matter how hard you try. This is your legacy, Michael.

Yeah Im 100% fine with his legacy

How about you and your boy Biden?  How do you like him surrendering to COVID and having no plan other than pushing Trumps vaccine?

That's literally not what happened.

DNC and HRC campaign paid a Washington DC firm, Fusion GPS, to investigate Trump. It is no surprise high-profile candidates like Trump are investigated a lot... Conservatives had hired the same firm to investigate Trump during the Republican primary. Fusion GPS hired a British spy to look into Trump's Russian connections, producing the Steele dossier. When it was further investigated, it turns out some of the dossier was corroborated.

However, you clearly live in a world where opposition research isn't actually research at all... You must think it means make up a bunch of lies and spread it around. Your projection is clear.

They FBI admitted it.   That occurred in this world.

We definitely need a 1-6 statue in front of the capitol building. You know, so we don't forget history and stuff.

Wouldnt a statue mean that you're celebrating the insurrection??

I'm seeing mixed signals from various countries on whether an invasion is forthcoming.  From where I'm sitting, there are valid points to be made on both sides.  NATO has encroached into former Soviet areas of control and interest all the way to the Russian doorstep.  We wouldn't like it if the Russians signed a treaty of friendship and military assistance with Canada or Mexico.  Still, the Russians are making not so veiled threats of a military invasion for the crime of having a government that isn't in line with the policies of Russia, and Ukraine is an independent nation.

The U.S. is in a tricky situation here.  No way does our country really want to be involved in this mess.  But we can't back down because our standing as the international power broker is at stake.  Knock the U.S. off that perch and its a far fall before you land.

Imagine how much regular Republicans that don't despise America hate the Mikes of the world.  All they have to do is disown traitors and terrorists, get behind punishing Trump and the other seditionists that attacked the constitution, and they could all just move on, but morons like him can't do it.  So they're trapped in this loop where the these anti-American scumbags are holding them all back and forever attaching terrorism to the name of the Republican Party.   It's got to suck.

My loyalty isn't to the GOP.

My loyalty is to my state and country.  When the DNC decides to stop actively destroying both, then we'll have a conversation

Until then, I guess youll continue to misunderstand what Trump was about and why he won in the first place

  No it's not.

And no one cares why Trump supporters supported Trump anymore.  What you need to worry about is why Biden wiped the floor with him in 2020.

I dunno, does a statue of Lee celebrate the south fighting the Civil War to keep their slaves, or does it teach history? As a true Trumplican, maybe you can set the record straight?
