I’m pretty sure Putin had a plan in place to counter the effect of the sanctions.   Not sure why anyone would think differently

I'm not gonna say that he's some kind of goober, but I'm kinda done pretending that he's an evil genius. His people couldn't even attack a border country for a weekend without screwing up his supply lines...and they're supposed to be the stronger force. I put more foresight into a tailgate.

Point is, maybe he assumed we were too weak to really force the issue with sanctions like we assume he's too smart to do XYZ.

can someone tell me what removing russian vodka from shelves does? i mean, its already bought, so someone buying it off a shelf doesnt give russia any money, right?

That could have been deadly for everyone in the car too

They are honey badgers and don't care. Looked like a female in the passenger seat threw it and was on fire after.

Stops further imports. Those specific bottles already bought wholesale it won't do much.

Overall it probably isn't going to make much of a difference. But it's part of a chorus of things that altogether do.

That tank was being towed. Not really that dangerous lol

I was trying to figure out if you were calling them sexy or crazy.

I landed on "yes"

i mean, i like the signal that it puts out, but cant you also just stop buying it at your store and sell off your current inventory?

I dunno Abra, I'm starting to think the Ukrainian population isn't really looking to be "liberated". What do you think?

Kind of demonstrates how laid back the Russians are being toward civilians.

Even with them it’s not that easy to shoot down an aircraft with one.

Plus once you pop one off you leave a giant smoke trail that points to where the enemy will unload a bunch of guns at.

Sure, but that's why they have them, and it's got to be easier than trying to take out the troops on the ground when they are already outnumbered.

Would have been better to lean out of the car before throwing

Not that I'm an expert in using Molotov cocktails though lol

As if they would have known immediately that their tank was hit by a glass bottle?

I think we forget that Ukrainans have been at war in Donbas since what 2014. They have been hardened by this and ready to take on all comers.

If they do survive this they probably will be the most heavily military in Europe with all the weapons countries are sending them.

They're cluster bombing civilians in Kharkiv (which is 15 minutes from the Russian border IN WESTERN EASTERN UKRAINE, and they STILL haven't managed to wrest control from Ukrainians), and that doesn't even mention what Russia is doing to its own citizens.

But hey, let's put logic and facts on the back burner for a few. Suppose Russia HAS been being super kind and gentle with Ukrainian civilians. I ask again: do Ukrainians seem like they're looking for liberation from Russia?

Do they?

Or that there are civilians with the opportunity to do such a thing. You know, given the fact they're in the midst of a war. Civilians who don't get out of the way usually end up dead. Not here. Russia is engaged in a really soft war.

The tank was empty and being towed. Relax on how humane the Russian people are.

So what will the excuse be when that changes?
