Well that's the kiss of Death for Russia.  No Disney.  I expect they'll crumble soon now.

And Book Of Boba Fett turned into an intro for The Mandalorian S3 anyway.

Seriously, it is nice to see nearly everyone turn on Russia at this point.  The IOC, FIFA, the Swiss who usually don't pick a side, Monaco, and now even massive corporations.  Even China has imposed certain restrictions, though I'll never trust those shady bastids.  I feel sorry the Russian people, but this egomaniac psycho needs to go.  Him and his staff are greatly outnumbered by the Russian people so hoping it hits a boiling point and they just turn on him and oust him out of power by any means necessary.  Custer had the Gatling guns and cavalry, but was so outnumbered he got wiped out.  Something similar needs to happen here from within.

So it’s apparently now a 40-mile long train from Russia. Looks like Russia is bring in everything now and expectations are that things are about to get horrific.

Tomahawks incoming…

@JohnSnowsHair

Thanks for posting all that, but it also beats home why I F'ing hate twitter.  It took that guy 26 posts to say what he wanted to say.  Absolutely ridiculous.  That scroll just kept going and going, and going.  Was it engraved in stone centuries ago that twitter has to remain 140 characters or can we F'ing evolve, especially in trying times?  I guess it's just me being an ahole again.

Not attacking you, again thanks for posting that, but that scroll never should have been that long and I'm sure you invested more than enough time posting it.

It has its uses, but the delivery system needs to be updated.  The Universe changes everyday and we need to do likewise to keep up.

Again, I appreciate the time you take to do this.  Thanks.

Wonder how Russian bonds passed Blackrock’s Social and Governance litmus tests.

Was thinking about this yesterday. How do you divest your funds of that debt without screwing investors even worse by eating those losses?  Also if Indices aren’t changing russian exposure how do they track the index properly and divest themselves of all russian holdings. You can insulate through other methods, but full exposure will be real hard to get rid of and still track. especially in an emerging fund

The last part, #4.  Freezing the assets of Putin and his oligarchs is HUGE.  If they truly didn't consider this than this could be a tipping point.  Cut off their finances and they lose their legs.

Hell, F, yeah!  Seize those assets and use them to fund the Ukraine defense.  How F'ing sweet would that be?

You want to play dirty and break treaties, we can do the same.  F, you, Putin.  You Dobby looking MFer!

Even if Putin takes Ukraine what will it matter after the world cuts ties with Russia?

My main concern here is if assets are seized, it becomes really hard to walk all of this back. If this can’t be walked back, then folks have nothing to lose.

Not sure what this tweet means but here we are.

As far as I remember NATO never did anything in Syria. they specifically were criticized in some circles for not intervening. Turkey is a NATO member, so if Syria spilled over there they might've had a rationale, but certainly no "invasions"

Libya was not a "NATO invasion". It was a UN no-fly-zone order that was being enforced by too many states, all of whom were in NATO and were running into command structure issues. They agreed to hand over coordination and control to NATO on the condition that no ground strikes would be involved. NATO never invaded Libya, they enforced the embargo and no-fly-zone. (All this I had to look up because frankly the details were lost to me.)

Kosovo was a humanitarian intervention due to war criminal Milosevic's actions against Albanians in Kosovo.

I don't know what sort of alternative history the resident Russian stooge (specifically Abra, as Russian stooge alone may be ambiguous) is following, but NATO has a pretty restrained history when it comes to military intervention and they have never threatened Russia with an invasion. And as a rule it does not stage military troops at Russia's border or escalate tensions.

Ukraine was and is a sovereign nation. Putin tries to argue, wrongly, that Ukraine has no history of its own, which is laughable considering Ukraine's history stretches further back than Russia's and early Russia was largely a derivative nation of Ukraine. The nations diverged, developing their own languages and cultures that, while they share similarities given they coexisted in regions that readily exchanged trade and customs, are decidedly distinct.

Putin's revisionist history is nonsense.

ISAF in Afghanistan was a NATO mission...that's about as close as you get.  That mission didn't start till year 12 lol

I can't go into great detail obviously on the first topic you mentioned, but Turkey essentially threw gasoline on the fire that was Syria the entire time during the ISIS fight (war crime and Geneva convention breaking style) then tried to land grab with the instability after Kobani was taken back.  Turkey was the bane of my existence while I was in Syria.

It means, F Russia!

Putin is a disgrace.  He wants to cement is legacy and he's going about it all wrong.  He'll hurt the Russian people more than he'll help them.  A shady former old school KGB hack who is nearing the end of his life cycle and wants to etch his legacy in stone and he's currently failing big time.  He'll only be known as the bully who picked on a smaller nation for the wrong reasons and the rest of the World rejected him and his outdated philosophy.  He's an outdated old school tyrant that needs to be shown the door and the Russian people are the first line of defense for overthrowing this old outdated schmuck.  Rise up and be a better nation and get rid of this old fart and his 19th century values.  F him, his mother, and the horse they rode in on and change the future of your government and society.

Saw the story of the 6 year old little girl killed. That one got me. I know there will be many more stories like that. F Putin and anyone who defends him.
