We are bombing preschools and birthing homes. Look what our president has done. I am alright. Please, let everyone know." Mother says: "I will. I love you so much, son." Get yourself together, mom. All is good, I am in captivity in Ukraine. You have to go around to inform other soldier mothers. Tell what we are doing. Here is happening crazy things. Our *soldiers* are bombing hospitals, kindergardens. Here life was peacefull until our president made it worse. - I undrstand, son, i love you very much - You need to get together and do what I tell you, I will send you video and send it, so more people see it - ok, i love you - i love you too

The idea that he’d have control of the whole country in 2 days is absurd and not something that any Russian general would have ever suggested. No, Russia is NOT using shock and awe tactics and they’re CERTAINLY not going with a total war approach. No idea where you got that idea from. They want to take Ukraine intact. If they wanted to go the total war approach, Kiev would look like Grozny. Uh, that’s exactly what I said. They don’t have the munition quality to do shock and awe They tried an invasion with light infantry backed by small amounts of armor and it didn’t turn out the way they wanted it to. If you read my original post, which I’m guessing you just skimmed over since you missed my point, you’ll see I said it’s like they’re trying to do shock and awe without the shock and awe. Which by the way isn’t total war. Shock and awe relies on precision strikes at key locations with coordinated ground attacks based on the strikes. Not total war. Russia can’t do shock and awe. They kept pushing in airborne and helicopter assaults when they a: didn’t have air superiority, and b: didn’t have the force projection to link up with those units. It’s like they picked the dumbest tactic to use for them. Russia can’t force project without their favorite tactic… In the eastern and southern axis they pivoted to a tactic they know very well: arty. And it’s working, but at a cost. I guarantee they start doing it up north in a few days. And they can’t take Kyiv without making it look like Grozny.
