I'd like to believe that half of these people understand that there wouldn't be an invasion because Trump would have helped topple the existing government and Russia would have taken over unopposed. But these days you can never be too sure. The amount of genuinely stupid, uninformed people in this country has been growing out of control for a good while now.

Trump was POTUS and they didnt invade

This narrative is still wrong no matter how many times you guys repeat it

And if you don't agree, what, do you think Ukraine is doing fine? No, no, you're right, Ukraine is doing just fine.

This is good news, at least:

Putin: "We will be sending yellow comfort packages to the civilians who escaped our targeted civilian missile/bombing strikes with their lives.

Kz: "You know, that's a pretty solid move. Good for them."

I mean, she says it's trustworthy so I guess it's true  but it would be great if it is:

Sources: The Russian authorities were not ready for the sanctions imposed against the country. Possibly because Putin hid the invasion plan from many of his subordinates.
March 2, 2022

We talked with sources in the government and interlocutors close to the financial and economic bloc of the Cabinet of Ministers. From their words follows:
Many high-ranking officials - members of the cabinet of ministers and heads of large state-owned companies - were not ready for Vladimir Putin's decision to start a war in Ukraine. According to one of the senior officials, it follows that he "did not know" that this would be a full-scale invasion. Some of them were shocked by the news about the introduction of troops. "That's Fed up," a senior White House source responded succinctly . According to a source close to the government, the cabinet was preparing for sanctions in response to the recognition of the independence of the LPR and DPR, but was not aware of the decision on a major war.

It turned out that the government was not preparing for the level of sanctions pressure that the whole world began to exert on Russia in response to aggression. All the last time Russian officials seemed to be the most terrible measure to disconnect from SWIFT, says a source in the leadership of one of the state-owned companies. They were preparing for such a scenario - since the beginning of the year, several meetings were held in the government on the topic of possible sanctions, and in large companies they conducted so-called stress tests in case Russia was disconnected from SWIFT, a ban on the supply of Western software, servers and chips. However , no one calculated the effect of the most terrible sanctions, for example, on Russian reserves, as well as the withdrawal of almost all Western companies from the Russian market.follows from the words of our interlocutors.

In the past, the Russian leadership has shied away from overly aggressive policies under the influence of economists' scenarios. For example, in March 2014, the government calculated the risks of joining the Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkiv regions to Russia , and then this step was not taken, among other things, because the Russian economy, according to calculations, was not ready for this, recalls a former government official.

"Everything is in a frenzy,” says a source close to the presidential administration, answering a question about the prevailing mood among Kremlin employees. But it is impossible for officials to resign, since this would be a betrayal: "You can only resign for a zone,” ironically an interlocutor close to the government.

The reason why he didn't invade is right there in the text of my post. And there's 4 years of Trump history that backs it up.

You just choose to either ignore it or don't have the mental faculties to understand the concept. I can't help you with either of those things.

Yep. I read it.  And its all utter BS that flat out doesnt make sense.  It just makes you guys feel better about Bidens disastrous foreign policy (which I warned you all about, btw)

The people of Russia want/need a reason to over throw that dick-tator. give them one.

It would have the exact opposite effect, playing into Putin's hands by validating the propaganda and making him look like a savior.

Oh, look, LowIQMike shows up as soon as Trumps name is mentioned.  Almost like he thought he would get a chance to give him a knobber if he defends him enough.

That's your opinion and you're allowed to be wrong and uninformed.

He's just sayin.

Obama was POTUS and we gained 9 million jobs

Trump was POTUS and we lost 3 million jobs

Biden's POTUS and we've gained over 6 million jobs

No context needed.  If you attempt to give context, it's only to make yourself feel better about Trump's disastrous economic policy (which I warned everyone about BTW)

I haven't heard anyone from the Squad say this. Social media randos and some far-left publications, but no one in Congress.

When the "context" is:

"Trump weakened NATO and Ukraine.  So Putin didnt invade while they were weakened, he instead waited until 2 years into Bidens term to invade, after Biden apparently had been strengthening our alliances."

Then no, we don't need "context"

Nobody has to respond to you. But as a mild recreational activity it has its merits. Laughter is supposed to be good for the soul and all that stuff.
