uhh, you're speculating as to the cause. you think Trump being "tough" was the reason Russia didn't invade.

that speculation is laughable.

Yeah, you're confused about something. My family's not at risk unless things go nuclear, in which case we're just all dead, and I'm not going to risk their lives for Ukraine. OTOH, since it's happening anyway, we should profit from it if we can. I've never said anything else.

in what world did Trump show a strong willingness to deploy US military forces abroad? the guy spent four years trying to withdrawal the US from the world.

Putin was not afraid of Trump deploying the US military to Ukraine if he invaded. that speculation is laughable on its face.

He didn't have to because it never got to that point

Just like Afghanistan, Biden had to wait until the disaster unfolded, and it was politically expedient.  Typical politician.  Either too scared or dumb to think ahead and strategize.

You seem beholden to the delusion that your freedoms are at risk only in the moment that a threat to your life is imminent.

You have to literally be in a death cult to fool yourself into believing Putin was afraid of this cuck.

I'll never understand why politicians aren't limited to age 65. Once you've hit that age, no more public office for you. Decisions made now are for future generations, which clearly these old bastids don't care about.

You and I -- assuming you're American -- probably do have to hang together, but Putin is no threat to us unless he uses nukes. You've seen this mess with your own eyes. You think this guy could get so much as a single tank across the Atlantic?

Quote

At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years.

At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide.

I hope I am over wary; but if I am not, there is even now something of ill omen amongst us.

I'll wait to see what happens. But if you're that sure, how are you preparing for it? Why aren't you heading for some bunker in northern Canada?

This is utterly false and delusional. Ignorance really is bliss...

So you're rushing headlong into death or what? What are you doing that I'm not?

Tell me a scenario that does not involve him using nukes where Putin puts you or me or our families at risk. Where does he get the money, the arms, and the soldiers to defeat us and our allies?

Lmao. We killed your family. Have a bag of snacks.

What are you talking about?

In the past Nato has stepped in when theres been war crimes. They're not doing it here. Even though Ukraine has proof, and Ukraine is begging them. Seems like we're(USA/NATO) are ok with taking this in from the sidelines

What I'm talking about is taking BOLD action, like you said. I say we drop you in, and have you talk about football and international relations with Vlad until he can take no more and eats a bullet. Thought it was pretty self-explanatory. But I mean, if you don't...Ukraine's fine. They're fine. We're all fine.

The SOTU looked like a long-term care facility with a 1:1 patient to caretaker ratio.

This is all well and good until you remember that most of the bat sheet craziest politicians are all young.

He doesnt have to be afraid of him, just acknowledge that there are some neurons firing and have a suspicion that there will be a reaction when he blatantly violates international peace

Biden is weak, there is currently no "leader of the free world," theres a bunch of beaucrats managing by consensus (just like Obama)

Some people prefer that.  Im not one of them

Good point.  After all, Trump nailed his cognitive test

maybe OPEC+ should increase supply 10-15% to at least get back to pre-pandemic amounts rather than artificially depressing supply.... that would be helpful to put pressure on Russia and keep pressure off Western nations.

To be fair, it had to be in that order, and he also probably had to draw a picture or two of a clock.

So what would trump do? Or what do you want Biden to do?
