March 3, 20223 yr wonder how people are reconciling this conscription effort with the Kremlin's claimed casualty number. what's the Kremlin line on that one Abra?
March 3, 20223 yr Schmoopie and I had a (small) night out the other day. After some wine I asked if the US brought in refugees from Ukraine if we could use one of our spare bedrooms and house some. I think the images are getting to me

In the past election if Christie somehow got the nomination I might have seriously considered him over Biden. All these guys are politicians, adapting their public platform and tone based on what will maximize their chances at winning. But thinking about how someone would actually perform in the role as president, I think Christie would do alright. And even though he's not as young as I'd like, he was at least born within 10 years of Woodstock so...

Apparently he was in a car but walked across the boarder for the last few miles. Why? Best I could deduce is because cars were being used by women and children)

Just saying, to the party members (not necessarily the constituents), he looked like a RINO even prior to Trump's presidency. There’s a long time until the next potus election. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if Romney won the nomination. One possible domestic benefit to the Ukraine situation is a return to the center for both parties. If we do have a new Cold War on our hands, it might create some national unity and more serious political thought. Probably not, but there’s a chance at least…

Just watched that clip...sounds like he was trying to make the point that we should hate Xi just as much if not more than Putin (and that clip was pre-invasion of Ukraine). Definitely don't like seeing that used as propaganda on Russian TV, and Fox needs to reign some of this stuff in for sure. 2 minutes ago, JohnSnowsHair said: In the past election if Christie somehow got the nomination I might have seriously considered him over Biden. March 3, 20223 yr 10 minutes ago, JohnSnowsHair said: Obamacare was based on a Republican plan that retained private healthcare insurers as an alternative to a single payer type plan like Hillarycare. The Massachusetts plan was based on the same I believe. It was only when Democrats settled on a plan that retained the private insurance market and abandoned single-payer as politically infeasible for the ACA that Republicans decided even their plan was too "socialist" or whatever. It wasn’t a "Republican plan.” It was a paper by one guy at Heritage who used a widely understood concept that has been implemented in other countries.
