If so, they have entered the war and all of NATO has entered the war. There's no port for those planes to reach Ukraine.

Looks like Poland's hold up is the US retrofitting F16's to give to Poland as replacements for the MIGs to be sent over. Not a bad way for Poland to upgrade it's air force.

Are we confident that Russia can maintain a siege? Sense here is that Russia needs to play a trump card to pull off their objective…

March 6, 20223 yr No US President has done anything to stand up to Putin so it's pointless arguing. Trump told a top aide he "doesn't give a crap about Ukraine" he just wanted Zelensky to help him destroy Biden. And Biden is weak. If he had been in office instead of JFK, we'd have spent the last 60 years with Soviet missiles aimed at us from Cuba and the Russian fleet patrolling the Carribean. According to Democrat Chris Murphy, he has classified info that Iran is inches away from having a nuke. If the Ukraine falls, will we stand up for Israel or Finland? Or will Russia, Iran, North Korea and China have a field day? We should have cut off oil from Russia already and there should be Ukranian pilots flying Migs over the western half of their country, with the Dniepr River declared a defensive line to protect refugees. Putin could continue his stupid war on the eastern side which is inhabited mostly by Russian-speaking ppl. He wouldn't lose face because we'd still be showing "fear" to attack him directly by restricting our defense to the western half. You don't stop a bully by hiding in your basement. If Putin wins the Ukraine, you can bet he'll be emboldened and even if he doesn't invade another country, he'll rub dirt in our eyes like a bully by ordering major cyber attacks to upset our economy and make life miserable here. And he'll probably use Iran like a puppet to rile the Middle East and keep us busy there... while China grabs Taiwan.
March 6, 20223 yr Ukraine pauses civilian evacuations, says Russia broke cease-fire BY CAROLINE VAKIL - 03/05/22 07:44 AM EST Ukraine is pausing civilian evacuations in the southeastern city of Mariupol, with Ukrainian officials saying that Russia violated a cease-fire agreement it had announced for both Mariupol and the eastern city of Volnovakha, The Associated Press reported. "The Russian side is not holding to the cease-fire and has continued firing on Mariupol itself and on its surrounding area,” the deputy head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said, according to the AP. "Talks with the Russian Federation are ongoing regarding setting up a ceasefire and ensuring a safe humanitarian corridor.” Serhiy Orlov, deputy mayor of Mariupol, also told the BBC that residents could not leave because the cease-fire had been broken. "The Russians said are continuing to bomb us and use artillery. It is crazy," Orlov told the British broadcaster. "There is no cease-fire in Mariupol and there is no cease-fire all along the route. Our civilians are ready to escape but they cannot escape under shelling." The Defense Ministry in Russia said in an earlier statement that it and Ukrainian forces agreed on civilian evacuation routes from both Mariupol and Volnovakha, setting up a temporary cease-fire in those areas, according to the AP. The development underscores the more complicated picture of the invasion within the country as roughly 1.3 million Ukrainians have fled since Feb. 24, according to data from the U.N.'s refugee agency.
