In truth, I think moves by Visa, Addidas and Cogent, will do as much as anything in place by a government.

I can't imagine living in Russia and watching the news, where they tell me that the Russians are Liberators freeing Russians from the Fascist Ukrainians and being greeted with open arms. The Commie Propaganda is whatever Putin says. Freedom of Speech doesn't exist there.

The Biden admin said opening up the drilling here wasn't on the table during a press conf last week, but it's becoming an emergency. Open it all up, renew all leases, and get it all flowing. It won't help for a while but get it going.

Yeah, this isn't about politics anymore. Our economy can't take these oil prices for long before it cripples us and hits everything on our shelves. Some poor family making $50k is going to be in massive trouble.

Why can’t we drill for more oil here and still try for clean energy solutions.  Seems like we can do both

It will take time, which is why they need to start now. In the meantime they can open the reserves and beg the Saudis. This is the last time something like this should happen when we have enough gas and oil to supply other countries for decades and decades.

Guessing the fed will drop the gasoline tax here soon and perhaps ask states to at least drastically decrease their taxes for the time being

btw - Serious discussions about joining NATO are actually happening in both Finland and Sweden.  Seems like a 50/50 shot but there has never been any real discussion previously.

I'm all for more drilling though. Even before the war

Are reports of them shutting down their internet in a few days so would expect more cyber attacks incoming. We need all avenues open to keep prices down in my opinion.

Yeah, that's another great regime to throw money to...along with asking Iran for oil. The way this is being handled is asinine. It's one thing to go to them in the short term while ours comes online, but another to go to them without starting steps to make us independent.
