Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We a

I think right now what we're seeing with Russia and China is a convergence of certain interests at the moment.  But their relationship is complex.  This was a good read if you're interested:

It’s complicated: Russia’s tricky relationship with China

Policy Brief 17 December 2021

Classic Western view of the China-Russia relationship. Meanwhile,

Quote

The Russian side reaffirms its support for the One-China principle, confirms that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and opposes any forms of independence of Taiwan.

The sides oppose further enlargement of NATO and call on the North Atlantic Alliance to abandon its ideologized cold war approaches, to respect the sovereignty, security and interests of other countries, the diversity of their civilizational, cultural and historical backgrounds, and to exercise a fair and objective attitude towards the peaceful development of other States.

The Chinese side is sympathetic to and supports the proposals put forward by the Russian Federation to create long-term legally binding security guarantees in Europe.

They sure are presenting a unified front against the West.

It is clear that the talking heads and ex military people on tv actually have no clue and are just throwing crap out there. apparently the State Department and defense Dept are talking in code now.

Why blame Zelensky for the B.S. reports about war on the 16th.? Politico reported on Friday that the word came from the Bumbler himself.

Quote

NatSec Daily was told by a person familiar that President JOE BIDEN told Western leaders about the Feb. 16 date on an hourlong call today.

Russia will start a physical assault on Ukraine as soon as Feb. 16, multiple U.S. officials confirmed to POLITICO, and Washington communicated to allies that it could be preceded by a barrage of missile strikes and cyberattacks. One person said the leaders’ call indicated that cyberattacks are "imminent” and another said the intelligence is "specific and alarming.” Sullivan mentioned that any attack on Ukraine could begin with "aerial bombing and missile attacks.”

So where are the cyber attacks that were imminent Friday?

The U.S. is making it all up. A wide ranging propaganda operation to create the impression Russia wants war so that any provocation can be blamed on Russia. The entire western media repeats CIA talking points for weeks. War at any minute has been the constant refrain. Ukraine is disintegrating as a result.

Meanwhile, the West moves it's personnel out of harm's way, leaving Ukraine to suffer the consequences of this bogus operation.

Disgusting!

Don't lose sight of the fact that a united front between Russia and the Soviet Union quickly turned around in the 60's when the two actually fought border skirmishes.

I'm really enjoying Abra slow playing his recruiting pitch to Procus to join the Russian army.

Russian lawmakers just gave Putin another way to escalate tensions with Ukraine—just as some of Russia’s troops reportedly pull back from the border

They want him to formally recognize the breakaway Donetsk and Luhansk republics in the Donbas region

Fantastic piece on Tucker with Richard Hanania:

Do you judge a leader by his words or actions?  This administration killed the Keystone Pipeline.  Approved the Nord Stream 2.  Pulled its support for the EastMed Pipeline.  All, significantly enriching Russia and her energy interests.  But so much tough talk on Ukraine and zero real action.

If you judge a leader by his words, Biden is tough on Russia.  If you judge a leader by his actions, Biden is appeasing Russia.  Which is it?

Im not sure why we need to support a middle eastern pipeline  with our tax dollars. What happened to America first?

I know this is difficult for many of you to grasp, but both sides will say things solely for the reaction it causes.

Russia might leak that hackers are going to start an attack, when they are not, soley in order to mess with the west.

Perhaps 2-16  is a date put out by the west to give pause to the Russians?

When did the right wing nut bags start choking on Ruski chode? Why?

We don't need to support one with our tax dollars.  However, we don't need to kill it either and hurt our allies in the region while propping up our adversaries like the Russians, do we?

I'm not understanding why we need to support it at all. If its their land and their money, they don't need us and we certainly can't kill it.
