March 21, 20223 yr I just had a heartbreaking conversation with my cleaning lady, a Ukrainian-Israeli woman who has a lot of family split between Odessa, Kharkiv, and Mariupol. She's been on the phone with cousins as they're being shelled in Mariupol. She has fond memories of visiting the Opera House in Kharkiv that survived the NSDAP invasion but did not survive Putin's vanity war. She's even been helping coordinate the escape of some of her family from here. She's also been donating cash to her cousin-in-law who has been driving back and forth from Poland to get medical supplies to the people (not military) suffering on the front lines. Somebody needs to put a bullet in Putin's head.
