Not only is Russia supplying the freedom fighters of the Donbas, they might even recognize their independence. Russia has always said they would protect the people in those breakaway republics.

Yes, they are clearly the oppressed here and need to be saved from the horror of living in Ukraine.

Here's the truly hysterical part -- the current situation is ideal for the US. Russia's military is engaged and has been seriously degraded to the point that they have to bring in foreign troops. We a

Scaring the sheet out of Biden.

Do you remember Trump’s performance in Helsinki?  He acted like he was terrified of Putin.

150,000 man army on the contact line seems a tad oppressive.

Hey I have a question: who does the Sudetenland belong to?

Russia is not trying to annex the Donbas. There's no comparison.

No, they’re trying to annex the Ukraine.

Western propaganda. If the Russians wanted Ukraine, they were ripe for the picking in 2014.

To the contrary, Russia has never so much as put economic pressure on Ukraine. They still supply Ukraine with oil and gas for christ's sake.

The Russian Objective is to sack Kyiv, overthrow the government and insert their Puppet, who will do Russia's bidding and be an enemy of the West.

If Russia wants Kyiv, it's been practically abandoned by the West. All diplomatic presence by the U.S. has been withdrawn from the capital. The oligarchs have all fled. They want Zelensky to abandon Kyiv as well. This is unprecedented. It's as if they're purposely creating a vacuum in central Ukraine.

Or, you know, they don't want to purposefully get caught in a conflict that would demand further intervention by their own countries?

Has there ever been a case where the U.S. preemptively abandoned a diplomatic post before a war even began? Besides, I doubt an embassy would be targeted if there was war.

Yes. They close embassies and withdraw people from danger spots all the time. I remember them doing this when I was in the service they did it in Albania. Libya, Yemen, all sorts of places we were not at war with at the time.

I'm not talking about draw down of family and staff. That happens all the time. I don't recall entire dismantling of the embassy and destruction of computers and material before hostilities kick off. That may happen has things deteriorate beyond safe conditions but this is still during diplomatic activity. Bizarre.

Are you going to start supplying both sides of the news here or just one side?

I think we get an adequate representation of the CIA's version of events through Western media. They have a huge megaphone. It's the other side that might go underreported.

To me he will attack and use more false flags to warrant it. Just seems like where we are headed.
