It's a joke - he hasn't really said that. Yet...

He did openly admit he was rooting for Russia a year or so ago.

And then said this mere days before the invasion officially started:

"Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him? Has he shipped every middle class job in my town to Russia? Did he manufacture a worldwide pandemic that wrecked my business and kept me indoors for two years?”

This, I guess is related to the war, because it's what brought it to my mind but it's not really war related.

Rewind to the formation of the U.N., the Soviet Union was a founding member and was made a permanent member of the Security Council. Now, fast forward to the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union now no longer exists, except in history books.

Why did Russia take control of the Soviet seat at the U.N. table, and their place on the Security Council? That's not something that ever crossed my mind until just recently.

He's probably one of @Procus's dozen or so alt accounts anyway.

You're so busy worrying about CVON trolling and don't have any comment on the Eagles -Saints massive trade.  Highway robbery by Howie.

Am I? You sure, Abra?  Go back to eyeballing my profile (again, creep) and check my recent history.

Again, I am twice as fast as you.  A day late and a dollar short, Abra. As per freaking usual. But you are used to coming in last so no big deal, right?

Because Russia took the nukes.

That’s my guess.

Ukraine had nukes at that time too, though. They later agreed to give them up, but they had them at the time of the breakup of the Soviet Union.

If you're interested, this piece gets into how that happened.

It would take just a few hours to determine the time, location and cause of death for enough victims to help make a judgement. After all, in order to make a case in international court, you're going to need that evidence. Without it, the case will be less convincing. It is in the interest of the Ukrainian side to conduct an extensive investigation immediately.

Instead, we get the evidence destroyed.

Arguing semantics is stupid, these are SS tactics. This used to be a red line for us. It’s sad that we’ve become so weak and frightened that we won’t do anything about it. It’s shameful.

Out of curiosity, what do you think is a bigger threat to the U.S., the conflict in Ukraine or the porous U.S. Southern Border?

It’s not even close. Russia is the biggest threat we’ve seen since WW2. The question itself is laughable.

No.  No I think he’s spot on.

I'm gonna take the guys threatening nuclear war on the western alliance over shoeless Guatemalans.

Ahh right, cause in the middle of their country being invaded and the town where bodies were found in utter ruins, they have the means to do a full investigation and autopsies in "a few hours”.

GTFO!!

I'm going to say your wrong.

The "shoeless Guatemalans" as you refer to them will undermine the ability to continue the funding necessary to being a deterrent to rouge nuclear powers.

In the structure of your own sentence you are saying the rogue nuclear powers are the bigger threat.  Things that hinder our ability to face that threat are secondary.
