The majority of drugs, illegals, weapons, etc - come through legal checkpoints by a wide majority. The people walking to the border are too poor to afford safer ways. Meanwhile, only 5% of incoming cargo containers are inspected. Why would you bother with using the southern border? Much easier to just fly your terrorists in legally. Put your weapons in a cargo container.
