And Russia responded with ominous threats of nuclear war.  Nobody wants that, but at the end of the day, those naive enough to think that we're going to destroy Putin and Russia this time are playing with fire.  If you back them up against the wall with nothing to lose, nobody wants to see what could happen.

Again, the sane solution is to cool things down and settle this conflict.

I am all for cooling things down and settling the conflict, but how does one do that when Putin refuses to cool things down?  I mean, he still has forces in another country that are actively attacking.  Love to hear your suggestions.

Have you seen how deferential Trump was towards Putin in Helsinki?

Do you remember the puppy dog eyes Trump cast at Putin's viral figure, and how longingly he groped for the level of control Putin had over his people through domination of state media?

That's what Procus wants. As long as it's Trump or someone like him at the top. Trump would cool things down by literally doing nothing to stop Russia from annexing Ukraine in its entirety.

Trump would be offering Russia aid and wondering why his generals are all face-palming.

Were Trump have been able to stay in power it's quite obvious we would be out of NATO, sending aid to Russia to help them slaughter Ukrainian women and children, and spending just as much money in the process on one of Trump's other flights of fancy. We'd also be bombing women and children relentlessly in Yemen. Something Trump did for the 4 years he was in office which no one seems to talk about for whatever reason.

Biden doesn't get the credit he deserves for preserving democracy and the American way (I know I know gas is expensive so none of that matters).

Journalistic malpractice.  The "liberal media" F'ing sucks and allows the right wing media to drive the narrative 100% of the time.

The week before last it came out that Trump had a mountain of intelligence about Russian election interference and had it deliberately suppressed. This wasn't even mentioned by most main stream media outlets. So much for "the liberal media".

Now back to your regularly scheduled delusions.

Is Putin playing long game by pulling troops back and wait for US and NATO to run out of support.  Can we continue to supply Ukraine ?  When do we say we can’t give any more  ?  Think the last number I heard was 1% of our National budget so far.

That's because Putin is fascist. He hiked interest rates, demanded anybody still doing business with Russia to pay in Rubles, creating demand for the currency that didn't exist prior. This is far from a free market making any real economic success.

What the F did you think was going to happen after the West stole 300 billion in foreign reserves and banned Russia from the Western financial system? Did you think Russia was going to give the West oil and gas for nothing? The demand is for Russian commodities. That demand isn't going to go away because some jackass in the State Dept. thinks they can weaken Russia through a manufactured currency crisis. It's a complete failure. All they've accomplished is to make worldwide inflation even worse.

The US won’t stop. As long as Americans aren’t dying no significant number of politicians will be against it.

Another argument for just sending our troops in and being done with it. We’d have this wrapped up in 5 days. Maybe another 10 if we keep going to Moscow.

Obviously at some point the spending will need to be reigned in. What that number will be is anyone's guess, but I can't imagine we'll be still running a tab for hundreds of billions over the next couple years.
