There are some here he seem to be more concerned about the well being of Ukrainians instead of that of their own families.  From where I'm sitting, things are going to get a lot worse economically for us.  We would have been much better off without instigating the 2014 color revolution.  I hope we aren't faced with significant shortages of food and other important commodities, but suspect we will.

We just saw what an American food shortage looks like during the pandemic.  It was literally not finding your favorite flavor of Yoplait.

So Russia is going to own the world now with their food supply, while they simultaneously level and bomb the shite out of their breadbasket...holy smokes the stupid hurts.

Indeed your stupidity is painful.  Agreed.

This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. Russia is self-sufficient in necessary commodities like food, energy, metal etc.. Even if their economy suffers, they can weather the storm because they have the essentials. The same can not be said for Europe. They are largely dependent on Russia for a significant percentage of these necessities. They have voluntarily cut themselves off from these cheap commodities and it's going to hurt their economies big time.

Now, if you understand this, the stupid will not hurt so much.

F Putin - who cares about Putin.  But you're too stupid to see the malfeasance on the part of leaders on the West.  Happy with your last visit to the gas pump genius?  How about your last visit to the Supermarket.  Think it's getting better anytime soon moron?

Small price to pay to stop the march of fascism.  If you cowards were around 80 years ago, we'd all be speaking German right now.

The lack of awareness is just astounding.  Mind boggling.  You don't realize that you're more like a Jew in Germany in the late '30s than an American in the 40's.  Think Putin has the Russian people all geared up for a mass invasion of Europe?  Think the Russians people are on board with that?

I hesitate to pull this thread because I might get a Buffalo shooter manifesto out of this, but do tell.

in other words, you're a poosey like the last POTUS and you are willing to lick Putin's boots as he meanders into sovereign nations.

weird, but don't most of you cucks usually say using the ukraine situation to blame inflation and gas prices on is BS ?

There won’t be food shortages in America, at least not in the traditional sense of people going hungry.

It will be more along the lines of higher prices and some items not being available in stores whenever you want them.

FWIW, Trump actually ordered the bombing of Russians in Syria. Killed a couple hundred mercenaries there who were, of course, acting as an extension of Russia with plausible deniability:

So by that logic we shouldn’t have lend leased anything to Britain or Australia in 1941 because we were also dealing with a depression?

We shouldn’t have spent that 5 trillion on fighting in WWII because we should have spent it at home?

False equivalency Bill.  Putin's Russia is not the threat that NSDAP Germany was.  Not even close.

This is exactly what people were saying about Germany lmao.

This is why Russia is in Ukraine.

Notice the black sun emblem? Who else uses that?

Go detail the parallels between 1930's Germany and today's Russia.  We're all looking forward to your insight.  For that matter, anybody else who thinks they're similar, please explain facts which support that conclusion.

I disagree by and large.  Not disputing that there are plenty of right wing elements in Ukraine.  Good ol' David Duke actually got his Ph.D. in Racism and Antisemitism from a university in Ukraine as crazy as that sounds.  But the bigger motivation for Russia is history - Ukraine historically was part of Russia, and in fact, where Russia originated.  After the 2014 color revolution, Ukraine started leaning West away from Russia.

Sounds like something a Russia agent might say

I'm sure that plays a role. However, when you consider how many Russians died fighting the Not-zzz, the fact that there's another, modern version on their border killing Russians today, any Russian leader would have to nip that in the bud.
