I wonder how many law makers are making bank on the replacements.

Austin is a Raytheon stooge. He was on their BOD before joining the war cabinet.

Yeah let's ignore the fact that RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE AND IS ATTEMPTING TO STAMP OUT ITS ENTIRE HISTORY AND PEOPLE and instead consider insane conspiracy theories or obsess over minor transgressions by other nations.

You trumptards are a-fugging-mazingly myopic and frankly stupid.

That's my point. Russia is in a position where they need changes instantaneously and that's not going to happen.

Eh, not sure I agree with your desperation on the Russian’s part. Plus the world economy has a good chance to split into, roughly speaking, eastern and western blocks (basically NATO+Australia/Japan vs China/Russia and these coalition’s various protectorates). But as we are seeing in Western Europe, things aren’t so simple to simply cut the cord.

Yeah. China is going to cut itself off from its 2 largest trading partners. Makes sense.

No, I'm just not a scumbag.

Long term, I think there is a bigger chance than most realize. What happens if/when they invade Taiwan for instance? You have to know that’s a non-zero probability over the coming decade.

Like I said, it’s not a simple task, but also not handicapped properly.

You just don't understand Jinping's motivations. He planned for this!

Eddie Mush #2 over here^ telling us all how much better he is at handicapping things like this than the rest of us.

Wow. Thanks for that cutting insight.

So we've gone from a "good chance" to a "non-zero probability" in less than a page.

Is there a 0% chance of it happening? No. Anything COULD happen. But it's extremely unlikely. China, unlike Russia, is smart enough not to cut itself off from the US and EU, and they have MUCH more to lose given the trade relationships. And I see a very small chance of them doing anything on Taiwan beyond their usual rhetoric.

With Russia bogged down in Ukraine, I find it even LESS likely China will invade Taiwan. That's just the way I read the tea leaves...

i didn't know Abra was an 8 year russian girl.

Russia's oil output is down a million barrels a day, and OPEC is agreeing to increase supply.

Russia still has to sell its oil at a steep discount to find buyers.

In retrospect we should have known all along

Yeah, a good chance of western and eastern centric economies developing.

The Taiwan question  is just one of many possible catalysts. How would you handicap it? 1% chance over the next decade? 5? 10?
