The latest estimate that I read was for about 2.5 to 3x more. Some estimates have gone as high as 5x.

From what I've seen, though I admit I am not reading assiduously, costs appear to be settling much lower than the worst case estimates the media ran with.

Not that there won't be a major effect, but the sensational numbers seem to be just that.

Has Norway adjusted its production?

We need to see how things play out as we hit the colder weather and see what Putin does with his part of the supply. I can say that we’ve hit high price records many times this summer and they were 5 to 6x normal daily/hourly rates. Given that we don’t use much AC it didn’t do much for private home bills thankfully.

We have a general election over here in nine days. The parties are promising max caps on energy costs for private citizens. There was a subsidy paid out last year.

Helicopter money?

No details offered yet.

Last winter the govt paid up to about $800 per qualifying household to the energy companies who then credited individual home owners. To qualify one had to use a minimum amount of electricity for any given month during the Dec-March period. The credit was $200 per month. I got all four months worth.

Last thing I read said it was up in the air. Seems the climate focused groups were not on board yet.

So Ukraine appears to have made substantial progress in its offensive this week. Russian invaders have not simply laid down, but they are watching Ukraine able to rotate in fresh troops with NATO weapons while they are stuck in Kherson with minimal ability to resupply and zero chance of rotating out.

It was never going to be easy, but even Russian milbloggers are starting to acknowledge that Ukraine has move about 20km closer to Kherson this week.

No problem.  We will get thru it.  Keep your gas.

This is the reality.

I told you a month ago that such an advance without air cover would be a massacre. The hospital are filled with wounded, calls for blood of any type are constant and Ukrainians are mourning Sept. 2nd as a national tragedy.

The globalists are not satisfied so the humiliating of Ukraine must continue until Russia is somehow weakened.

Shoddy Russian equipment breaking down causes pride in Abra.

That's the spirit of self-immolation I'm sure makes Klaus Schwab proud.

Think what you want.  You ultimately lose and you know it.

The colonial powers of Europe are finally headed for the dust bin of history and I couldn't be more pleased to witness such a monumental event.

Wrong. When Europe is debased, the world will rejoice.

And yet, it is a long way down for them to the cesspool that is Russia.

That reporting is already old.

Remember when Laverne and Shirley moved to California and Lenny and Squiggy had to break into their flat and they started singing the Mission Impossible song and Lenny was all, "Dun da dun da dun dun, dun da dun da dun dun, dun da dun da dun dun, dun da dun da dun dun" and Squiggy was all, "Heeeeeeeaaaaaaa, heeeeeeeaaaaaaa, heeeeeeeaaaaaaa, heeeaaa"?
