France getting all its nuclear plants up before winter should help ease demand on gas electric production. Hopefully things normalize there before winter, and that winter is as or more mild than expected.

The best Putin can hope to do is to cut the gas to Europe, but even best case scenario for him, Ukraine is losing the support of Central Europe and France. Much as it has been since 1939, the US and Britain are doing the heavy lifting anyway. No matter what happens, Britain and the US will still flood Ukraine with weapons.
