At this point I'm here year round save some vacations.  In a few years, I'll drop that to 6 months.

Gotcha- Just wondering what it's like, given the current climate, and if you were only there 6 Mos, what seasons you were there etc.

Yeah, I understood.  When I get there I'm thinking I'd be in Sweden over Xmas for approx six weeks or so and the rest in the mid May thru Sept timeframe.

natural gas prices are plummeting on the commodities market today.

Doesn’t matter. This is a logistical issue, not a financial market price issue.

Energy prices are going to consume an enormous percentage of income in Europe. Then food shortages likely hit next year. Europe has real problems that don’t have a financial solution.

This is the reality.

I told you a month ago that such an advance without air cover would be a massacre. The hospital are filled with wounded, calls for blood of any type are constant and Ukrainians are mourning Sept. 2nd as a national tragedy.

The globalists are not satisfied so the humiliating of Ukraine must continue until Russia is somehow weakened.

Europe will face challenges.

I think you're being chicken little about it though.

Oh, are you back to making predictions again?

He’s about to capture the capital and he almost owns the entire coast at this point. He invaded what, 6 days ago? Not sure I’m seeing this resistance everyone else is…

Yeah, 6 days in there was no resistance genius. Russia blitzed through Ukraine rapidly, faster even than the US did in Iraq.

Look, let’s assume Europe figures out the energy part of the equation. They’re still going to have a trillion or two in demand destruction because energy costs are going to explode.

You're talking food shortages.

I think there's some anti-EU cheerleading as well as an overemphasis on doomerism.

That's like, your thing.

"He's about to capture the capital"

Funny how everyone else saw the resistance besides you and abra.

It was literally in the tweet that I provided and you quoted, you illiterate moron. Is ISW some Kremlin propaganda outlet in your eyes?

ISW said Russia was building up to an attempted encirclement of Kyiv.

You said "they're about to capture the capital and almost owns the entire coast," both demonstrably false even at the time.

Take the L doomer.

Yeah, the lower crop production and higher fertilizer prices from this harvest are pretty well documented. I’m not sure how this is anti-EU in your eyes?

Demonstrably false at the time? Look at the map they provided.

Yes, there will be food shortages. The poor crop yields and higher input costs from this harvest are well documented.

How is this is anti-EU cheerleading?

The reality is that Africa will face shortages, not the EU.

Yes, it was demonstrably false. Ukraine was always going to be undermanned but with better training and weaponry. It was clear that any defense of Kiev was going to require that they maintain their defense is close to the city. So it wasn't surprising that Russian encountered light resistance until it began approaching the capital at which point defenses clearly overwhelmed Russia.

Your doomerism and fascination with short term trends foiled you. Again.

Not only have they turned to N Korea for obsolete Soviet era armament. They are buying back the very armament they sold to them.

We all know what they aimed to do, only you and abra were stupid enough to assume it was a forgone conclusion. Maybe if you weren't spending all your time blowing Putin, you'd have seen the resistance the rest of us were seeing.

He’s not though… he’s winning, decisively. He’s taken about half the southern coast in less than a week and should have the capital in another week or two.

Im really not sure where people are getting the idea that the war isn’t going well for him.

Yes, look at the map. There’s even a zoom in of how close they were at the time. Yes, they had most of the coast 6 days into the war. You don’t have a point.

You are far too optimistic. It is far, FAR more likely Ukraine is stuck behind a neo-iron curtain for the rest of our lives.

No, the reality is that the world will face food shortages and western countries will bid up the price.

It was neither mine nor doomerism, it was that Kremlin think tank ***checks notes*** ISW providing a status update while people were claiming that there was resistance… resistance which you yourself have now stated didn’t exist in any significant form.
