I remember claims that the Ukraine offensive was obliterated, and clearly it was not. It was clearly intended to keep Russia's eyes on the south, and clearly it did its job. Russia was supposed to run out of missile. Instead, Russia has deployed only about 10% of it's regular army and the missiles seem to be limitless. Russia has supplied the artillery and missiles while Ukrainians from Donbas have done nearly all of the infantry battle using legacy Russian equipment. NATO's proxy has not faced the Russian military in it's full glory.
