September 20, 20223 yr Some reports in the press here that the hard liners inside the power base are driving hard and demanding new action. Putin seems to be in the process of determining how to deal with their demands amidst everything else going on.
September 20, 20223 yr In other news, only Turkey and Hungary have yet to approve Sweden/Finland as full NATO members. Turkey continues to bish and moan and have used the Swedish general election and shift of power to renew attempts at further political concessions. Hungary is generally silent but have some key EU economic funding discussions ongoing which could cause problems in addition to the Hungarian position toward Russia being less firm.
September 20, 20223 yr Hungary's Parliament has just come back from recess so there may be no problem with them giving Finland and Sweden their approval. We shall see.
