@ @Abracadabra ... Russia rolls in to Ukraine territory, kills any Ukrainian civilians that stand in opposition, and ships as many kids and youths as possible across Russia .. just a little ethnic cleansing .. then holds "referendums" at gunpoint to "join Russia" ..

the world responds by saying "these are sham referendums and we will not recognize them"

Russia...

Wikipedia:Pearl-clutching - Wikipedia

you're a dopey troll.

Doesn't matter if the referendums are recognized by outsiders, Russia recognizes them and that's what counts.

The idea that Russia is ethnically cleansing a predominantly Russian area is stupid, even for you. Ethnic Russians have lived in the Donbas for generations. The region was once Russian, for christ's sake! Any Russians who've left the area did so to flee from Ukrainian shelling. Dozens of civilians have been killed by U.S. weaponry within the past week alone.

As Lavrov said, the people are taking the advice of Nuland's poodle and leaving Ukraine for Russia. They're taking their historic homeland with them.

Dopiest argument ever.

Ukraine was once part of Russia.

Israel was once part of the Ottoman empire.

So what?

I'm merely pointing out that the people are, by far, ethnically Russian and, therefore, sympathetic to the idea of joining Russia. Suggesting that the referendums would need to be or are occurring at gun-point is nonsense.

It's as if you numbskulls have no idea about the recent civil war, beginning in 2015, or what is was all about.

Once the liberated territories are legally part of Russia, according to Russians, they will be defended with as much vigor as though they were Moscow. That's the inflection point. The U.S. will be treated as a party to an attack on Russia itself. This means U.S. targets will potentially be hit in or outside the region.

I'm not sorry that the USSR fell apart through mismanagement.

Alright, let me try once more.

Because the regions now voting to join Russia were once part of Russia, it's no surprise that they'd be willing to voluntarily rejoin Russia given the historical, ethnic, religious etc, affinity with Russia from the past. No force would be needed (the "at gun-point" BS) especially since Ukraine murders women and children on a daily basis using U.S. weapons and fire control.

The referenda are legit.

What a load of horse-pucky.

I guess it is understandable, all you know is lies, therefor, all you see are lies.

I spoke to soon.

The surviving Lenape Indians have just claimed Tamanend Park (historically Lenape) as a sovereign nation. All the Lenape voted, so it must be legit.

Except they're not, because that's not how sovereignty works comrade.

It's Ukrainian territory. Those living there don't simply get to up and decide they're no longer part of Ukraine.

Imagine if the Buryats up and decided it no longer wanted to live under Russia and organized a referendum to secede ... No doubt you would be consistent in your reasoning and allow this vote to proceed and if the outcome was for "independence" Putin would no doubt be magnanimous in giving away Russian territory to a newly sovereign state of Buryatztan.

The people there didn't "up and decide" to leave Ukraine. They sought a measure of independence in the face of a Western coup d'etat, fought a civil war in defense of innocent women and children being shelled mercilessly, negotiated a compromise with international recognition, declared independence and welcomed support from Russia to expel the tyrants- then decided to rejoin Russia.

Moscow use to be under control of the Mongolian empire.  I think they need to cede the territory back to them.

You must be incredibly stupid to believe any of this nonsense.

Clearly you learned nothing.

That means government officials, NATO command and control, and civilian infrastructure are legit targets.

Zelensky might want to ready one of his many mansions abroad.
