Be so wrapped up in histeria that you can't discern between an argument for direct conflict between the US and Russia and an argument about the likelihood of nuclear weapons being used in Ukraine.

Be you.

Be so wrapped up in stupidity that you still don’t comprehend that I’ve never said it’s highly likely to be used in Ukraine, just that the response cannot involve direct conflict.

Repeatedly call someone stupid, but yet continue to argue with them, on a Saturday night.

It’s a decent enough commercial break distraction.

Are people really arguing that we could survive a nuclear war?

Russian missiles are crap, fake, and even if real we can intercept all of them.

Why does Ukraine allow these easily intercepted missiles to get through?

Yes you are, arguing that russia would deploy a nuke on its western doorstep

Non zero probability. And that non zero probability goes much higher if the US initiated an attack against Russia as so many in here are clamoring for.

@Abracadabra keep hiding from the atrocities Russians are unleashing in areas they occupied.

One day you'll be held in the same regard as holocaust deniers.

So you're paralyzed in fear by a theoretical study done a decade ago that says we might have problems with the power grid if North Korea decides they want to wage nuclear war with the U.S. on behalf of Russia?

Ok even I'm getting tired of this, and I'm one of the idiots at fault.

Let's all agree:

1.) The US strategy is threading the needle and, from the point of view of the US, is pretty much a master class on how to do this.

2.) Nobody wants to see an escalation of conflict, particularly with the use of WMDs.

3.) In the event number 2 happens, there are varying degrees of a response that the US could take using a variety of measures.

4.) The results of a nuclear conflict will result in the country getting nuked to either cease to exist along with the rest of the earth or it will eventually become one of the world's largest producers of automobiles.

5.) F Dallas.

I don't know man.  People went nuts with the pandemic, when all the power was on and some folks MIGHT have gotten low on TP.  No Power, no food, no help.  To me, that's pure post-apocalyptic with neighbor shooting neighbor for a couple cans of soup after a few days.

How can you see it otherwise?

I don't necessarily agree with TEW on a lot of things, but other than 90% death rate in short order, this is very plausible.

This was a report given to congress in 2017 that explains why we aren’t going to intercept a lot of their nukes and how just 1 EMP could kill 90% of the population of the US within a year.

You said I was misinformed. I showed you where I was getting my information.

Are you saying none of this is true? Or are you going to admit that it is true?

The 90% death rate is after a year. Initial casualties with a single EMP would be relatively low — basically planes falling out of the sky, car crashes, etc as electronics fail.

The real short term problem is water. No one thinks about water. What happens when we can no longer process clean water to drink?
