Russia’s High-Tech Artillery System Was Supposed To Win The War In Ukraine. But Troops Didn’t Know How To Use It.

This will surprise few in this forum.

The big takeaway from Russia's pathetic excuse for an invasion, is how incompetent the Russian military is - the only area they seem to excel, is in war crimes.

Putin faces missile crisis as Russian army may only have enough ammunition to last a month

Vladimir Putin has used up almost two-thirds of Russia's ammunition reserves, a senior military intelligence analyst has claimed - enough for another month. Meanwhile, the UK's Ministry of Defence (MoD) likewise said the evidence demonstrated Russia's stocks were "depleted". Speaking to the country's public broadcaster ERR yesterday, Margo Grosberg, head of Estonian military intelligence, told Estonian public broadcaster ERR: "The Russian Federation has used up about two-thirds of the ammunition it has, or slightly less than that."  Mr Grosberg said the shortages explained why Russian troops were having to fall back, saying: "For limited operations and with economical use of ammunition, Russia will have enough for about a month." Russia is now stockpiling ammunition in order to renew its offensive in the spring of next year, Mr Grosberg said.

Moscow was also trying to buy missiles and drones from Iran and North Korea, and was exporting ammunition from Belarus, Mr Grosberg said.  In its latest update on its DefenceHQ Twitter feed, the MoD said Russia's use of ageing cruise missiles with the nuclear warheads removed "highlights the level of depletion in Russia's stock of long-range missiles".  Also yesterday, CNN reported that Iran had agreed to supply Russia with 1,000 short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missiles for use in Ukraine.  A report published by the 38 North website earlier this month highlighted the first traffic from North Korea to Russia in several years.  Authors Martyn Williams and Peter Makowsky wrote: "It is impossible to determine the purpose of the train from the imagery, but the crossing comes amid reports of arms sales from North Korea to Russia and a general expectation of the resumption of trade between the two countries."

He’ll get them from Iran.

They're starting to get issued water proof over boots for the winter. Not enough to go around, but they're starting. I think those guys were probably rotated there a month ago.

The Ukrainian issued boots are actually not bad so long as you're not in three feet of mud. Basically domestically produced Lowa rip offs.

A problem that I've noted with their trenches is that they never have any water sumps or decking.

so is @Abracadabrastill sucking off 72 year old russian men to get them to join the struggle for freedom ?

im just asking questions.

U.S. and NATO Scramble to Arm Ukraine and Refill Their Own Arsenals

Quote

Last summer in the Donbas region, the Ukrainians were firing 6,000 to 7,000 artillery rounds each day, a senior NATO official said. The Russians were firing 40,000 to 50,000 rounds per day.

By comparison, the United States produces only 15,000 rounds each month.

In a war of attrition, the West is losing. Spinning lies into a narrative for Western dolts to consume will only go so far. Eventually, the truth on the ground will reign supreme- the West is not in a position to fight a continental war with Russia. Russia is massing half a million men and wearing Ukraine down. A breaking point is approaching.

The truth on the ground?

Russia has no competent military leaders, the troops are poorly supplied and ill-trained, and they are begging Iran and North Korea for ammo.

Right, because Iran and North Korea are these industrial powerhouses which can crank out armaments like nobody's business.

The Soviets stockpiled millions of artillery shells. Even if you discount that old stock, the Russians are running three shifts non-stop producing ammo.

All of Europe,  Ukraine and the U.S. are running out of ammo after nine months. The Russians are just getting started.

Ukraine killed Iranians who were advising Russians on how to pilot Iranian-made drones in Crimea, Ukraine's top security official confirmed, per a report.  "You shouldn't be where you shouldn't be," Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine's national security and defense council, said in an interview in Kyiv, according to The Guardian.  "They were on our territory. We didn't invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them."  Danilov said that the Iranians were in occupied Crimea to help Russians operate the Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones.

The White House said in October that Iran had sent advisers to Crimea to provide drone training and maintenance to Russian pilots.  Iran initially denied having supplied Russia with drones, which are often called "kamikaze" or "suicide" drones because they detonate on impact.  Ukraine claimed that Russia has used the drones to strike infrastructure targets and power stations across the country.  Despite public denials, a Russian defense official was caught on a hot mic in October admitting that it was an open secret that the Kremlin had in fact imported Iranian drones.  Iran has since admitted to sending a "small number" of drones to Russia, but claimed it did so months before the war in Ukraine began.  Ukraine has cast doubt on Iran's claims, and the military has claimed it has evidence to suggest some of the drones were supplied after Moscow's invasion in February.

Danilov's comments confirm previous reports in the Israeli press from October which said that 10 Iranian advisers have been killed through Ukrainian strikes on Crimea. Danilov confirmed that there had been casualties, but did not say how many.  "The Iranians keep insisting that they are not suppliers of weapons to the Russian Federation but we need confirmation. Do we have this confirmation as of today? No we don't." Danilov said.   "We understand these things don't fly without [people] learning how to operate them, and the Russians don't have the brains to figure it out themselves."  The UK and the EU have announced sanctions on Iran for providing Russia with the Shahed-136 drones.
